Advice for waxing

^ don't use base cleaner. it dries the stit outa ur bases. just do a hot scrape, then run over it a few times with a brass brush, and once with a horse-hair to remove static. then proceed to wax.

whatever, I was under the impression that you use a towel of sort to get the most wax of since its hard to get everything and do a efficient job with a scraper. also you can tell how clean it is by using a white napkin or whatever and see if the wax is dirty or clean. either way clean bases are pretty important.

umm 24 hours???? dude that's obnoxious it won't sink in any more after like 20 mins. you can leave skis in a hot box, and wax won't sink in any more after 90 minutes, once wax is room temp, it won't go anywhere

toko recommends leaving the wax on for as long as possible. Really what does it hurt? It saves your bases from getting scratched when storing them, etc.

Scratches on your bases are neglegable. Will gashes in your base slow you down? Not much. Core shots will let water into your core, and possibly ruin the flex, so you should fix them, but gashes in the P-tex? Don't worry about it. Wax often and it will make no difference.
