Ads leading to app store

Okay, so 8/10 times I'm on mynphonebi've been trying to load a page & an ad pops up and brings me to the App Store. It's pretty annoying, wondering is anyone else is getting this

Literally came to site discussion to make a thread on this. Keeps happening to me on mobile. Annoying as fuck. Like I get that ads bring in revenue, and I don't mind the banners that glitch to the middle of my screen, but these popups make it impossible to navigate the site. When I try to x out, it brings me to the app store. Have to go back to safari, back to threads, and click thread again. Sometimes it does it again though...
 
SO, on mobile, (will take a screenshot when it happens again.) I'll try and go to "Rant about Whatever" and everytime I click it, I immediately am brought to app store.

Does it just come up when you're browsing pages? How often?

We use tonnes of networks, so this is likely just a new 'feature' which is more targeted at the one-and-done sites.

Let me know behavior and I"ll track it down.

It probably happens to me like 4 or 5 times a day.

When i click on a thread it'll like load half way then the url will change and it will take me to the app store.

Its really fucking annoying. Sometimes i'll go back and click the thread again and it will do the same thing

Been happening a lot to me tonight. Pretty much every couple of threads I open on my browser(I'm using chrome on an iPhone) opens another URL then immediately sends me to the App Store for random stuff.
 
Been happening to me on mobile to, got in the habit of waiting for a page to completely load to click a link so I don't accidentally click an ad
 
Ok, I have some answers.

I did some digging, and none of our ad partners are responsible for those mobfree ads. After doing some further research, it seems to be some sort of exploit done by mobfree to pop up in people's browsers.

We're trying to block any ads that seem suspicious, and hopefully google has this sorted really soon because its definitely not supposed to be allowed.

Really sorry you're seeing it, take a peek at others who are experiencing it and if you see an ad load right before this happens please let me know what the ad is for and do your best to get a screen grab.
 
I was just redirected to some site about winning a new phone or something. I quickly closed out and didn't think to take a screen shot. If it happens again I'll get the shot and post.

And I'm on mobile and had clicked on post whats on your mind when the redirection occurred
 
It happened again.

I was in post whats on your mind and without clicking anything my phone got redirected.

I would take a screen shot then back out and I would go to another site. So I'll post them all. The first screenshot is of the site I first went to from pwoym.

This one has happened to me 3-4 times a day for the last week+.

I'm in ski gabber:

I click a post and instead of going th the thread, this pops up:

I click the "X" in the top right of the popup, but it seems to be part of the link, instead of exiting and going to the thread, it takes me to the app store (and not even to the app advertised):

I go back to safari and I'm not even in the thread, it reverts back to ski gabber:

Such a pain in the ass. Wouldn't be nearly as bad if the option to x out actually worked and didn't bring me to the app store.

This happens to me too it's really annoying
 
Discovering this app was a game-changer! The captivating ad not only

piqued my interest but also seamlessly directed me to the App Store.

Now, I can't imagine my phone without it.
