Adrian Peterson called Blake

So, i am from Fairport, New York and graduated last year from Fairport High School. Last year a kid named Blake Cognata got diagnosed with a rare type of cancer. As of today it became public news in the town that the cancer had spread to every bone and he didnt have long. Myself and hundreds of other current students and Alumni tweeted #APcallblake after only an hour or so a picture came along of Blake talking on the phone with Adrian Peterson. The hashtag soon turned into #APCALLEDBLAKE

We all do, Blake was one of the nicest kids ive known. Makes you think twice about how you live your life.
 
Love these types of stories. It's great to see a public figure to take some time and just do the right thing when it will lift someone spirits. Hope Blake can pull through, my thoughts are with him and his family.
 
The story is now on ESPN i dont think Adrian Peterson has said anything himself about calling blake yet.
 
Similar thing happened in my town, CP3 went to a highschool named West forsyth, this kid got cancer in november there this year, rare form, and it recessed. Turns out it was coming back and doctors said he only had a couple weeks to live, the kids at west forsyth started a hashtag called #PrayForRyan and Cp3 tweeted at him like 4 times. He was supposed to take a trip to key west the day after he died too. Shit's fucked RIP
 
I like AP, he just seems like a good dude whenever I see him talk.

Made me smile to read the news article and then after continuing down the thread it kind of crushed me. Never had an emotional effect like that from a thread on NS.

Ive been in a depressed mood all day, im headed to our Highschool for "angel hill" a hill our town used to mourn the death of 5 cheerleaders 4 or 5 years ago.

The part that really jerked a tear for me is Blakes mom made Blake write "I love you mommy" on a piece of paper so she could get a tattoo
