Adobe Premiere 6.5

Can someone explain step by step how to insert transitions using this program, I've tried everything and nothing seems to work. Even Adobe's help site didn't work. Thanks very much.

ok, the easiest way (i think) to work with premiere is with the A/B editing, where you have two video tracks A and B (ignoring any additional tracks you have, which can be MANY!) You have your two clips that you want to transition between, one on either A or B. Place them how you want them so they overlap a little (this is where they will...uh, transit?) Just drag the transition you want (the crossfade's really the only good one, that or star wipe) onto the transition track, which is between A and B. It will automatically size it for the overlapped bit, and then you just have to render it. Make sense? If not, drop me a message, I can help you out.

go to kazaa and download the Adobe premiere 'Bible'

make a title that is black (go to title window options to make it black) and put the text and whatnot. put it in video 2 over whatever else you have, and it should make it transparent for you. if not, right click and go to transperency. if you have just a black background you can use black alpha matte (or is it white?) or just screen.
