Adobe Premiere 6.0?

ok so i was looking through my brothers comp and i found this. and i compied it on to a thumbdrive and downloaded it on to my comp. but it is a really confusing program and i was wondering how do i capture the video from my camera onto it? also at the start it gives me alist of things like Widescreen 48kHz and stuff witch one am i supposed to click?

go to file, capture, to get your video imported. and when it asks for quality, do whatever is most compatible with your camera.

You probably shot in standard NTSC, so you woul select Standard 48kHz under DV - NTSC. Next you will go to File-Capture. You rewind the tape to where you want to start capturing from this new window. Press play, then press record. When you want it to stop recording, press the record button again and it will stop and then ask you what you want to name it. It will then appear in the top left window, and from there you can drag it into the timeline and muck with it in any way you want!
