hey guys I need your help, I've got adobe premier and I've made some quality vids, thing is when I export them to like .avi file and play them back it blows, the video runs real slow and choppy. This has happened with other vid edit progs too like video wave and ulead's. I think it might be my shitty processer 400mhz, that might mess it up when it exports it. Videos that I download are fine untill i get them into the programs. ne1 else have this problem? or know how to fix it.

 
intstead of exporting them as an MPEG export as a windows media file (the bottom of File - export)

it'll take your file size down and it'll run faster.

actuly if you wana put it on your camera leave it at AVi on the DV setting. If your camera is pluged in it will play on that though only showing a frame or two on the computer screen. If you can try to quit as many side programs as you can and buy more ram.

i already have a butt load of ram, the only thing wrong w/ my comp is a slow processer. Is it easy to install a new one? b/c I really don't need a whole new machine, just need to spped mine up

 
I had the exact same problem. If you are using a DV camera you need to set the pixel aspect ratio for DV cameras, which is 0.9. That will fix the problem

phrosty the guy that fixed my computer said that if your gonna get a new processor, you also need a new mother board and i think new memory. i could be wrong though

you will have to buy a new motherboard if you want a new processor. you might also have to buy new ram, depending on what motherboard you decide to buy. if the problem doesnt go away, then you could try that. find prices for good comp stuff at pricewatch.com and also look for tutorials to install that stuff online. make sure what you buy is compatible before you spend that much money.

 
Phrosty...you PROBABLY won't need to get a new motherboard if you get a new processor. Just bring it to a computer shop and tell them you want just a new processor. The only reason you wouldn't be able to is if the company you bought the computer from locked down the processor, but that's very rare. If it is though you would basically have to get a whole new computer.

no, he has a 400mhz processor, if this is a PII, and he wants a higher mhz PII, P4 or athlon, he will need to get a new motherboard. also if he gets an intel setup, a number of their motherboards use RDRam instead of SDRam which is what he probably has now, forcing him to buy new ram as well.

 
i say forget about upgrading the computer and just get a new one, what does a p4 go for nowadays 1500 cheaper then upgrading and much better for the long and short run

trust me it is yoru player, because windows media player sucks...i have 450 and mediap layer sucks for it, get bsplayer, it is very good and it is freeware, also www.vcdhelp.com, check that for all your probkems, but def. get that player i todl youyour movies will run 100% smoother and better picture quailty, and get all the new codecs

don't do sleep and get 8 hours of drugs
