Adjusting Music while Skiing: the rBand, skiing's newest gadget.

For those of you that ski with music: do you get annoyed or cold trying to adjust the volume or change the song on your phone? Do you find headphone remotes hard to use with gloves?

My buddy Josh decided to improve his on-hill music experience by creating the rBand, a wearable bluetooth remote that makes controlling your phone while wearing gloves much easier:

Feedback welcome! Is this a product you'd use? or just the latest gaper accessory? I personally don't ski with music, but thought it was a cool idea and had to share my homie's product.

It's a cool idea, but honestly, a bit superfluous. I just make my playlist in advance and run with it. if I want to change it up, I'll do so on the chairlift. What happens when you slam and it goes flying in pow. Also, usually I can adjust my volume with my phone with gloves on through my jacket. My personal opinion is that it looks kind of like a life alert thing to wear on your arm, so I'm leaning more toward Gaper territory on this one. That said, gapers far outnumber good skiers on the mountain so your friend could definitely make a bit of cash with it if it gets popular.

This is pretty sick actually. Simple solution to an old problem.

I'm really picky when it comes to the song I'm rocking, so I always love any sort of attempt at external controls. Had gloves with this built into it a long time ago and it was dope.

The apple watch works really well for it, but you need gloves with a touch-capable finger pad on them.

I think it’s pretty sick of an idea. Most headphones don’t have the volume adjustment on the cord. I would buy it if it was more low profile.
