Adirondack Chair + Old Skis

So I have several old pairs of skis that are in urban condition and I want a project for the rainy months before the snow starts falling. Anybody ever built an Adirondack style chair with skis? I know you can find plans online for the regular chairs and it looks like you can just swap out some boards with skis.

I found a couple examples online

Using skis on every part

more simple, just on the seat and seat back

yea. probably not gonna use the og ar5's though, can't justify cutting up a piece of skiing history

i'd still ride on every pair of those...get some straight skis from the 80s and send me a couple pairs of those twins!!! i'm poor and need skis!!!

Most of those skis look like they are in good condition. (of course I cant see the base)

I will trade you a pair of torn to shit Amplids TS for the pair that you have.

you should use old school skis with pointed tips. ever seen an Adirondack chair with boards rounded at the top for the backrest?

dude c'mon!

dont cut up those skis! you could practicly sell them and go get some old straight skis for free and make it actually look good!

the bright colors and matching stuff on the old straight skis will make the chair look much better!

no no he threw the dead hooker in there too. now the chemicals are all over the skis and the colors are running

not sure how you can tell this from a photo of the topsheets, but I really don't care.

the skis are fucked, and I am going to make a chair out of them, just wondering if anyone else has experience doing this themselves.
