Im looking at getting these for this season and i need a black and white cleat because i also kick for football. Does anyone have any opnions on these? they seem very simple and durable and thats what i like about them. My coach still has uses his pair form when his hs one their section in the early 90's.

not a bad boot at all, I might also suggest looking at the adipure as well, K-leather boot that comes in all black and i think in black and white as well. I have several friends who own a pair and have heard nothing but good things

Why do you need black boots for being a kicker? They're good boots tho.Predators would be better for power in football. And it's still a great soccer boot. And it comes in black and white. winner

probably because it would look weird to wear gold vapors in a football game (i'd do it though)

go with them, haven't worn adidas in a while but had a pair some years back, really comfortable and well made. definately recommend them. really cheap for a kangaroo leather cleat too.

I need balck ones for two things. 1. To have a cleat that won't show mud very well to practice in. 2. Because I don't think the football team would like it if I wore purple cleats.( school colors are

im also the kicker for my football team as well as keeper for the soccer team.
i wear Nike Tiempos. Nice K-leather, great touch, real solid boot for both sports. oh and fairly cheap for being k-leather and everything

I think I'm just going to get the adidas's because I'd like the durrability for a soccer boot as well.

ADIDAS is hands down the best company to go to for your football boots. they are super reliable, and their products are top of the line. NIKE can go fuck off and still make shitty, overpriced products. I have had nothing on my feet but ADIDAS since age 5. sambas for everyday use, and switch up my boots every season. get the copas dude, you will love them.

i got the copa mundials and really wasnt in love, they fit weird to my foot and didnt have the best touch.

i upgraded then to the legend II's then III's which i like for the comfort and shot

then i moved to the vapor V's which i liked the touch on but not the shot so much

then i moved to the superfly's which are really just amazing in every aspect

i was the same way. i had sported the adidas from age 5 to age 16 and had the same perception of nike as you do. then last season i tried nikes. i got some tiempos, and i absolutely love them. i would suggest trying nikes again to anyone in doubt. yes, in the 30-50 dollar range, adidas's selection is better, since the nikes in that range are basically plastic, but with the better boots, nikes are, imo, super sick. i had a few pairs of predators before, and they were narrow and fit well, but they dug in at the top of the ankle. the nikes are totally comfy everywhere

a super similar boot with a bit different fit are the puma king classics. really simple boot, kang leather. i suck at soccer but i got a good deal on these and i love them. pretty damn durable so far. i used them all season and some and they barely have any wear. really stoked on them.

yeah i like the kings a lot. ive had a few pairs in a row now.. which may say something about their durability, idk

get a laceless cleat for kicking but just get one...u can buy them like that. it really improves your kicking...if you are not too serious with the kicking though you probably do not care

all personal preference. Go to a store and try them on.

Some people live by addidas some live by nike some live by puma.

Pumas shoes are usually very light and very narrow (you need a narrow foot for a puma boot)

Nike make great boots, some people hate them some peopel call them over priced and say they wont last year more then a season. I still have my vapors 3 years later, you just have to take care of your boot. They make the total90 for wider foots, vapors for narrow more high arched foot.

Adidas is very similiar to Nike making many different level and styled boots.

As for companies like diadora and umbro those cleats fit more like a normal shoe and older styled cleats and are a bit on the heavier side. Usually all leather and just basic black/white styles.

i love my copas.

they fit my feet very well, although i do wish they offered a bit more support on the outside of my foot because i carry a lot of my weight there and sometimes roll my ankle a bit.

love my copas to death. takes a little while to break em in, but once theyre wrapped and set to your foot after some field time theyre amazing. spent so many games and training sessions in those boots.
