Adds are getting to be too much

Over the past few weeks I noticed that the ads have been getting in the way of things. It started with 5 unsuccessful tries to click on the forums tab without being redirected to an add (It was thinking i was clicking on the add and not the "Forum" button. Later, I started to notice that if i click on things it brings me to another page before I could go to the actual post/video. Today, I log on and this Lake Louise add takes up a third of the page and is in my way. That add doesn't even look good. Its all blurry and pixelated. If anything, its an Anti-Ad

I understand you guys make a living off of advertisements but at this point it is ruining the user experience. I'm sorry for all the hate but its a bit ridiculous and unappealing.

For example, This banshee bungee add at the top takes while to load and I keep clicking on the wrong thing when it does.

I don't know much about how this website is coded but it seems like you haven't changed much in the past 5 years except for including more and more adds.

You have two banners on top, one down the right side and usually a background add. I'm surprised you haven't started throwing adds in between threads and posts in the threads.

I suggest that;

1. Force add space to a specific size then apply that format so everything loads properly.

2. Cut off Latest News when it extends far down the page past anything else

3. Take out the gap between the member of the month and "Vids being watched..."

Honestly there's so much I would change, I'll just stop now.

I have turned off Addblock so you guys can make money off my clicks... Please dont make it painfully terrible.

NS honestly looks terrible now. It's not pleasing website to look at.

We have thought of everything you suggested, but we have a limitation on the amount of programming hours we are able to put in. Most of what you suggested will be launched as we are able to make the changes.

Ads are decisions that get made at a corporate level, and then we have to adjust to the new layouts. We have a great revamp that is going to address a ton of this, and we're working on it as fast as possible.

I really appreciate your tolerance in these changing times, and we're doing everything we can to balance the need for revenue and a clean user experience.

Thanks for your reply Mr.Bishop,

I know programmers cost $$$ and sometimes don't get as much done in a day as you'd expect. Some projects seem small can take up the most time. I'm not working this winter (just skiing) and could volunteer some of my time if you need. I have some programming experience (HTML, CSS, Java, Python, php, and more).

I look forward to the new website.

i really don't mind most ski related ads that much because we are their consumers, and this is the place to get their name out, but the entire banner and background of my page right now is the new ford explorer.

Wanna email me a resume and a few project examples? We'll take a look for sure.
