Addicts vs. Punx

I am in need of a new ski and I can get these for relatively cheap brand new. I don't want the ski to be a noodle and It is going to be used for all park obviously. I am 5'10ish, probably taller by the beginning of next season. I am going to be hitting rails/jumps half and half and I want the skis to be fast because I always lacked speed on my invaders. Tell me about both skis!

i ride the addicts for half and half and there pretty good, definitely not a noodle.

ive never ridden the punx but i think there pretty flexy, i dont know what you call a noodle tho

i think you would probly be satisfied with the addicts, i was

i rode the 08 punx...and own the 08 addictthe punx are soft. too soft to lay over fat turns. but still fun. i just didnt see as much playfulness in them as the addict.
read my addict review for some info. id recommend it any day for park/fun ripping

The punx for sure! I ride the Punx and they are such an awesome ski. Although I have not ridden the Addicts before, I would thouroughly recommend the Punx as they are such an awesome ski!

I will go ahead and say that Punx are an awesome ski, but their durability is sub-par. Mine, after 1 season of abuse and one mellow season due to injuries are straight fucked. Rockered tails, soo much edge missing, one of the tails started delamming on the base and they are now softer than the Lizzies I bought to replace them. Like as soft as Hellbents, legitimately. Here's some pictures of said abuse. And Addicts are really fucking stiff, so besides being symmetrical they really aren't a similar ski.

Edge damage.

Delamming tail, since my Lizzies aren't mounted I've been skiing these like this and the base is now peeled down past the "T" in Atomic.

And the edge damage on the other ski.

Addicts are nice skis, very stiff but not to the point of being unreasonable. They're super stable for jumps and hold an edge better than any park ski I've ridden. Buttering on them is possible, but if you really value buttering I wouldn't consider this ski. Durability is decent, the bases hold up well, as do the edges. Topsheets will chip very quickly though.

Overall I would recomend them to someone looking for a stiff pipe and jump ski that can hold up on rails.

Ive owned both and they are both great skis but i would have to say punx. Mine were super durable and one of the most fun skis ive ever owned. The addicts were stiff and kinda well... boring i guess you could say but still an awesome ski.

I have heard a lot of good things about the punx jumping ability. I have never had the opportunity to ride a pair, but have heard a lot of good things. Look at Adreas and Jossi, they hit huge jumps with them.

A good friend of mine has the Punx, never ridden them myself, but from some indirect experience I can tell you that they are great on rails and jumps. Slightly comparable to Chronics with some more flex.
