Action Zone pass worth it?

I'm going to the Dew Tour on the 5th to watch the slopestyle finals and such. Is the pass worth the $100 extra? Do you need to buy a lift ticket to get to the "special" viewing areas, or could you walk up to them from the base lodge at carintha?

If you have the disposable money, do it bro, but I am told you need a lift ticket to utilize all of the benifits. If you are getting it only for viewing purposes though, Im sure you can just hike up to the Action Zone Viewing Corale, and the AZ pass does give you a nice meet and greet with the pros. May well make a sick weekend even sicker, and if you are going each day then its not all that much money for 3 days.
