Action camera?

Ive been considering getting a contour but dont know many people that have one, a ton of people like gopro and thats why it has its reputation but i dont know if i want to shell out 300 bucks for a camera that has the same specs as the contour 2+. Is it worth it to pay extra for the gopro? and how are contour's cameras?

I have a Hero 3 and it takes some really sick footage! That being said I've been having some problems with it lately...

I have had a couple GoPros and they have never let me down. I have beaten on them all year round in really cold weather, hot summer days, and underwater.

ive had both and much prefer the go pro. even though the specs seem the same the quality is much different

The contour+ 2 is $399. The go pro black edition is also $399 but it completely dominates the contour. Even the silver edition at $299 is really good. The choice is simple for me.

Check out sonys action cam, ive had 2 go pros and i like the sonys picture a lot better , the picture seems smoother and less shakey too
