i got my surgery exactly two months ago and a part of my knee is still numb from it. i know this it happens most of the time and sometimes is permanent, but to anyone who had acl repairs, when did the numbness go away for you?

if they did a local block for you they probably screwed up some of the nerve cutting so yeah some of the nerves wont grow back and youre numb forever

i was told before the surgery there would be a numb spot and its still there. i think it decreased in size very little but its still very much there. its not completely numb but its enough to not feel a pin prick.

Yeah, I got the patella bone patella surgery for the acl and my surgeon said id always have a numb spot on my knee

idk if you got the same type of surgery or not- but i know its fairley common for all types of acl reconstructions. not to worry brotha

my friend had acl surgery and he is fine. he had it in febuary or something. his NS name is jeff5.

ah man I'm in the same boat, i had my surgery about 2 months ago and still cant feel about a 3x4 sq. inch area below my knee haha. It takes a while though, I've had this happen before and it really just takes forever.

It took about 3 years from my reconstruction for 85% of the feeling to come back and now there's only a small spot on the lateral side of my scar that is numb.
