Hey Newschoolers,

Last year I tore my ACL skateboarding in the summer and missed all of last season. While my knee was healing after surgery, I tore the other ACL and I am going to be missing this season. The last year I have been keeping myself occupied with recording my friends and I playing songs we know or made up.

If you feel like taking a listen you can find my record label on SoundCloud:

I am interested to see what the skiing community thinks of the music since everyone that is recorded skis or snowboards. Much love to anyone else going through ACL issues, I am right here with you. Find something to keep you busy till you are 100%.

Regards,

Tore mine in july going in for surgery in 3 weeks! I've been playing a lot of guitar and doing some recording! what's a good program to use for recording stuff and kinda like layering over top of it? Btw vibes man hope your knee heals quickly and comes back strong!

Vibes back to you too, hope you recover quick and strong as well. Music is a good way to keep your mind off the lack of skiing.

Audacity is free and will allow you to record multiple tracks to get a layering effect (i.e. recording yourself, then recording yourself again while listening to the original track). If you know how to torrent software or want to pay some cash then you can check out programs like Ableton Live 9 or ProTools.

hope everyone's recovery is going well

Hey Peter.,

That is a good amount of time off. Just ease back into it this season. Mind games are the hardest part to get over. You tear yours skiing?
