Not gonna lie, slightly nervous about what the pain will be like for the first few days. Otherwise, I'm just stoked to finally take the first step towards getting back in action. To those who have had ACLs done, how were your first couple weeks?

They were fine, not too painful, and I tried to get off meds asap (though they didnt do much).
Good luck with surg.

yeah you will be in some serious pain the first few days. but just laying there you are fine, if you move your knee at all it is going to kill. if you can stay off the meds, i was on them for 5 days and got addicted real bad to them. if you can stay off em an save em, they go for a lot on the street. but yeah dude its going to suck for a while, but its all worth it just go get back on your feet and start skiing. good luck with the surgery, and hope you get back out soon.

I have had two so i know how it is, the day you get out of surgery you'll feel fine but the next few days will kill you

What kind you getting?

don't stress too much buddy, i've had my ACL and MCL reconstructed. It's not a good time but you'll be alright. Just take it nice and slow, stay relaxed, and don't move any move than you have to for the first week.
+ vibes, heal fast!

Pictures or it didnt happin!

hahah kiddin... good luck man and ill give yeah some special k for a quick recovery!Hope it all goes well!

I had mine done this summer, wasn't too bad. Pain really was not an issue for me because i was on some pretty heavy medications (oxy and norcos). I would recommend taking the meds to be comfortable, not torturing your self so you can sell them afterwards. Make sure you have an xbox or something to do because you're gonna be on the couch for a little while. oh and make sure you start drinking metamucil or take some other kind of fiber supplement right away so you don't get epic constipation like i did.

Good Luck!
