well... the other day in class we watched a pretty graphical video abortion... we could see it and what they do is crush the babys head than suck it out....im not against it, cause sometimes just cant cope with a baby for monetary reasons and such, but maybe they should find a better way to kill the babies

it depends on the situation,if the girl is in grade 12 thats even worse then being in grade 9 and having a kid,cuz by the time you reach college the baby will be like 3 or 4 so there might not be anymore diapers and shit like that,i know a couple friends that got an abortion,one being the parents told the girl they were takin her shopping then took her to sudbury and made her get an abortion,

as far as i am concerned, as soon as yer pregnant, its your responsability to have the kid, and maybe put it up for adoption afterwords if you want. people that preach pro choice nead to realize that the persons choice was made as soon as they had unprotected sex, or whatever the circumstances were... obviously in cass of rape or incest or whatever, or if the moms life is endangered by the pregnancy, then there are exceptions... but for irresponsible people who become pregnant through their own flippant behaviour, they made the choice, and they should get to live with the consequences at least for nine months.... seems like a small price to pay to preserve a life...

you are totally right there is a huge waiting list for familys who want to adopt newborns here in america, enough that they even have to go overseas to adopt. so why not just have the baby and then put it up for adoption. Even so, you can under American law at least just leave a baby at a hospital legally and not face any abandonment charges if you didn't want to deal with the adoption process/shame..there really is no reason for an abortion other than anewmorning's aformentioned reasons.

its all about prevention. i worked/volunteered at Planned Parenthood and other similar places. there are definately better ways than abortion prior to pregnancy, but it is sometimes the best answer. And whoever said that teenagers cant raise kids is a fucking idiot. my best friend had a kid when he was 16 and his girl was 19. they are still together, hes in college and she graduated and is working. the kid is in a loving home where people care about it.

 
word sohcahtoa my cousin had a kid when she was 16. sometimes accidents happen and its not right to take a human beings life for one. my cousin stuck throught it and so did the father and they are like 30 somethin and still together, their daughter is even getting married next year. if people really love eachother that much as to have unprotected sex then they should certaintly love eachother enough to stick together and be strong when they are blessed with a child. abortion is murder and should be illegal under normal circumstances.

fuck that. if you plan your pregnancy, you can give your child the best life possible. sure teenagers can raise a kid, the kid will be alive, but there is no way a teenager can support an unplanned pregnancy as good or better than an adult with a planned one. yeah the kids alive, but his quality of life isnt the same as his/her peers. its like fucking africa: sure those shitty villagers are kept alive with your unicef pennies, but they live in huts drinking shit water and eating maggot meat. teenage pregnancies are half assed and its the kid who pays the biggest price.

people should have to deal with the consequences if they have unprotected sex, because abortion is downright murder. and if a girl is raped, why is the baby killed, and not the rapist? i think that should be switched up. kill the rapist, have the baby, adopt it out.

First off, about the morning after pill... I've had to take it once (bad experience, and it wasn't even sex), and it doesn't hurt. You don't have to get hospitalized. I don't know what the hell kinds of cyanide pills they're giving out in Quebec, but here all I did was call Planned Parenthood and they hooked it up. I went to the pharmacy and they explained what to do. I took one ASAP and then the second one ten hours later, and I didn't feel a thing.

Second, about birth control. It doesn't work for all women. I used to babysit for a woman who had four kids, each of which was conceived on a different type of birth control pill. You'd think she would have learned to use a condom, but whatever.

Third, I am pro-abortion in most cases. If a condom broke or it was rape or an accident, then sure... Get an abortion. If it was just a couple of irresponsible people who didn't use any form of protection whatsoever (including birth control pills or something), then fuck them. They can adopt, but it was their own fault.

yeah you're talking about two different things i believe.

ru485 (i think that's what it's called...can't remember) is the 'abortion pill'. It aborts a first and second trimester pregnancy, but not a third trimester (which is very touchy subject right now anyways)

I think an abortion is okay as long as the fetus is still just a bunch of goo. If it hasnt developed a brain then it can't feel pain and it can't do anything so its pretty much just cells that grow at an extreme rate (cancer is too, not that babies are cancer or anything)

Definitely pro-choice...I am kind of against late term abortion, i.e. - when the baby is crowning injecting the skull with fermaldihide(sp?), or anything that deals with the fetus being killed - I kind of think at that point it should be given up to adoption.

these weren't just little signs...but giant, six feet tall, three feet wide signs in high resolution colour clearly showing the images. It was graphic, disgusting, lewd and just downright fucking wrong that close to a school - or anywhere for that matter!!!!!

The excuse 'well what if you were aborted'. Well number one that's such a rhetorical question it's ridiclous. Also, if that's what the parents/mother decided was correct at the time then so be it!

I am definatly Pro-Choice.

What about rape and other cases where mother had no intent to carry a baby? Should they be obligated, to give birth and care for something that have no wish to have?

I believe that only the couple and more importantly the mother have the only right to choose what is best for them. Who are others to say that they are making the wrong choice, they don't have the same perspectice. And how does someone else having an abortion affect all you pro-life people? If you find it morally wrong, you don't have to have an abortion yourself.
