Ableton Live vs. Logic Pro

I just got my new MacBook Pro and want to start making music. I am interested in making similar music to hathbanger (andrew hathoway) and company. My question is what software should I buy Ableton Live or Logic Pro, and does anyone have any help videos for the trigger finger? (tutorial type shit)

i would say use ableton. its more geared toward what you wanna do. logic is more geared toward like live studio work with like bands but still can do both

wow completely forgot i posted this awhile back.....and noticing i spelled hathaway** wrong first go round.

I have ableton live 8 now. and i just bought an m audio axiom 49 controller.

you work with ableton at all? i had a couple questions as im just now starting with it.

hathaway uses ableton, but ableton is one small piece in his production setup. He also has midi pads, mixers, probably owns a novation, and the list goes on and on. For mixing, live sets, the ableton software works well. But for production, there's a lot more to it.
