I remember when he was just a little grom, always keeping up and throwing down with the big guys. Lucky enough to say that I've got to see the kid grow up, from coaching his t-ball team and baby-sitting when he was 5, all the way to today, an X-games athlete at 16 and one of the most well rounded, humble, and talented individuals I know.I'm stoked to see he's going places and I couldn't be more blown away by what he's done in the last couple years and this one especially.

I'd like to be able to claim that I helped him learn some of those tricks, but I'm pretty sure he became better than me a long time ago.

What really gets me is how he got so good at half pipe when the one in CB has always blown chunks.
 
this kid slays so hard and he's only 16. him and torin just the nasties fucking pipe skiers in the game and they only come to a combined age of what like 32 or 33. that's fucking mad. plus he's from crested butte which is so dope
 
Have you ever ridden with him? If he wasn't competing in pipe, he'd be killing it in the big mountain scene. plus, he's got a crazy amount of tricks outside of the pipe...I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing him in slopestyle/bigair comps soon

ahahahaha I agree with link, theres so many kids that can do your average doubles these days.

definitely smoother in the pipe but still has no chance, X games would be a cool experience for the kid at least
 
oh no doubt he seems like he could be a contender in the comp scene in coming years.

he'll be pretty known after being in finals at X, probably get a bit of cash flow from his sponsors
 
I love seeing Aaron at X. When I was lift op-ing at CB a couple years ago, I'd always see him riding around with the mountain sports team and you could see that he was far and away better than everyone else.

He won the Big Air on Elk one year and I was there with a camera, got a shot of him throwing a cork 10 tail for the win.

He is in fact not just a pipe rider. He was invited to WSI Big Air last year and didn't some crazy shit. Also just finished 4th in The North Face Open in Whistler, not sure if you saw that start list but it was pretty damn stacked. And for the record, I'll choose when I get to put my panties in a bunch, I don't need you to do that for me. Unless you really want to ;).
 
I was trying to, didn't work out. Even I can do a little better than that! That was 2 years ago too, he's way, way better now.
