A7iii followcam

Probably not a good setup for a follow cam. That cage would work good if you were filming fisheye follows or standing still handheld but it will be a shaky mess with any other lens. You will need a glidecam or an electronic gimbal for smooth follows with a 16-35 of a full frame cam.

This. Just get a Glidecam, or if you're worried about price, get a flycam made one for less than the price of that cage. I shoot with an A7 and I've used just about every style of cage/gimbal/stabilizer there is, and unless you're purely standing still, that cage isn't going going to help you achieve cinematic follow cam shots whatsoever. Also, that lens is a beast but if you're going to be filming skiing then pair that setup with something more than just a cage

thanks for the suggestion dude, i'll check those out. i'm not super concerned about crazy smooth footage cause i bought the camera mostly for stills and i'm okay with a little shaking as long as it's not like super distracting yk. also since u got an a7 too have you had any issues with the weather sealing?

I haven't had any issues with the weather sealing so far, then again I don't really shoot in any weather condition that's worse that light dry snowfall
