Never been a big fan of inline. I would even say at some points I thought inline was pretty stupid. Then a while I saw this, and it kinda changed how I look at it and I think that inline can (sometimes) be pretty sick.

What was your moment, or video that changed your mind about how you thought about a sport, activity, game, etc.?

For further clarification of this format, when I was younger, I didn't think much of Candide. People talked about him but at the time he had already transitioned to more big mountain stuff and I was a stupid 15-year old that was like "who cares about skiing things that don't have rails". Part of that is he came before my generation, and I really didn't know that much about him.

Then, I got a little older, and I saw Few Words. Totally changed my perspective on big mountain and Candide as a skier. Now I have a much greater appreciation for him, and big mountain as a whole.

Inline is gonna make a come back. It's cool now when somebody shows up to the skatepark and can rip. Nobody blades these days. I have a few friends that still do it that are pretty good but it's rare. The roller derby girl thing is more common someplaces though.

Hahaha used to think golf was the dumbest thing ever. Then I tried it. Ended up playing on the varsity team my senior year. I'm still awful and haven't touched it in years but its a good time

Bruh.....I think it IS back. This summer will be the revolution. I’ve got a trail loop I do through Denver that takes me through a couple parks very popular with the youths. Couple weekends ago when it was nice and warm, a gaggle of 16 year olds were out strapping on blades and stoked to try not falling for a while. They had on knee pads and everything.

Golf from working on golf courses. Every activity and sport comes with its doucher hardos with the latest and greatest golf club technology, hours of lessons from Golf Pros, Bragging rights over which clubs they are members of, etc., but its a pretty interesting activity in terms of having to think shit through. All it takes is one bad shot to ruin your round or one good shot to make it sometimes. You get out what you put in and it is nice driving around in the afternoons looking at all the pretty greens, fairways, and approaches you took care of earlier in the day.

And yeah having garages full of thousands of dollars worth of motorized equipment and vehicles to fuck around on is pretty cool too lol.

That was cool op. as long as a rollerblader has good style i will watch it. Bladers with shit style are complete degeneracy tho.

i like seeing what broskow is up to from time to time.

skateboard vids are just so much harder to get sick of tho. Its pretty rare to see shitty style on skateboard unless the person is a little bitch.

I guess what I didn't like was how a lot of the scene was just "how many swaps can I do on a 2 foot tall ledge" for a while. The video reminds me a lot more of skiing

A lot of rollerblading is just never going to be that appealing to non rollerbladers. If you aren’t someone who watches edits and is like hey I want to go try that it’s just kind of meh unless it is completely insane. I was pretty heavy into rollerblading from about 96 to like 03 or so. I got made fun of a shit ton but I got to the point I could do handrails and stuff just got slowly uninspired as an adult and gave it up.

RC Crawling is so much fun. I got a TRX4 Sport last year and take it out to Palmer Park all the time. The first time I went I thought, "Great, im going to be the only grownup with an RC truck here" but then every time I go I run into 3-4 other guys crawling. With the right setup you can do some insane stuff with them too, I have taken mine up in the mountains and gone up giant 100' rock slabs and stuff. The state of the RC hobby is unreal right now with cars that can do over 100 mph out of the box and crazy stuff like that.

Crawling seems a lot more accessible than trophy trucks or buggies since you don't need a large area or dedicated track to have fun.

I should just stick with my SCX24 for a while though before I get anything 1/10 scale, right out of the box it is surprisingly capable and has a lot of potential for upgrades. I've taken it with me on a couple hikes and it does get out of its capability range pretty easily however. Haven't done any upgrades to it yet so not worth taking a pic of my own but I've got the Chevy C10 body, kinda want to get a Toyota pickup model kit for it.

The SCX24 is a legit little truck. I have my TRX4 and a brushless Slash (Short course truck version of the Rustler). Crawling is more chill and I can actually let my buddies drive it where the Slash will bust into tiny parts if someone hits a curb at 50mph. Its a fun hobby to get into, especially if you have some skill with a soldering iron. The two upgrades I would do first on the SCX24 is get some brass on the front axle and replace the friction shocks with actual oil shocks.

I've got brass steering knuckles and stamped steel wheels and better tires on the way, as well as upgraded servo and steering linkage. For now I'm just going to put some thick grease in the stock shocks while I decide what suspension upgrades to make.

Yeah late 2000s rollerblading was a dark time. Painfully skinny jeans and skittle coloured skates. Razors Game Theory is maybe the worst action sports movie of all time, watch it if you want to torture yourself for 40 minutes. The Valo movies from that era somehow hold up well.

Golden era inline street is absolute balls to the wall stept level shit though.
