A valid question.

I think the hallucinogen affects the brain, so maybe they would experience auras and other light phenomena which we would perceive as sight.
 
I could see this. It would probably be a very life changing and new experience if this were the case. Now i want to go feed some boomers to some blind people...
 
If the person was younger than 2 when they lost their vision, they can't hallucinate visually, however if they were older than 2 when they lost their vision, they can hallucinate visually.
 
Blind kid I know did acid. Experienced visual hallucinations. What he thinks to be colours and shit, it was hard for him to describe. /thread
 
Thought this over and mind was seriously blown. Read the article above. Found it really interesting. Either way I must create my own experiment. First I need to find some blind people
