A typical "what ski" thread.

My background: Type III park, Type III All mountain CSIA Level 2 cert. East (ice) coast based. I spend 95% of my time in park, the rest of the time I'm either teaching little kids on the bunny hill or hitting a rare pow lap. Since I teach at one of the shittiest mountains in Quebec, I don't usually have the opportunity to work with technical features, but this year I'll be going to ski Fuji for a couple of months :).

What I'm looking for: A wider ski, twin tip for pow and all mountain.

What I've been looking at so far: Armada JJ, K2 Pinnacle 118, sick day 114, magic J

+++++K Thanks!!

The Pinacle 118 and Sick Day 114 are directional skis, they are not twin tips. The ARV 116 JJ is a great freestyle oriented pow ski and I'd also take a look at the K2 Catamaran and maybe, if you're planning on touring, the new Bentchetler 120.

Just checked it out! Nothing but good things said about this one! Plus the topsheet looks dope af

The kartells are a sick ski, but you definitely don't want the 116's. WIth your style of skiing as you describe you probably be better off on the 108s, or the 98s.

Something to consider... i honestly don't know that much about width preference for pow conditions... the widest ski i ever had was like a 95(?). I'd hate to spend all that cash to realize that i need a skinnier ski lol

The Black Crows range is sick.

Pending where you end up waist width wise they have good options.

Atris (108mm), Anima (115mm) and Nocta (122mm) are all sick skis.

If you're consistently skiing powder that's knee-deep, get the 116's. Since you ski mostly park, 116 is a terrible idea and you will hate them. kartel 96 is fine for occasional powder.

I would take a look at the Jskis Vacation. At 104mm underfoot it can handle the powder, but its plenty light and poppy for when you are back from surfin Japow

That seems like a pretty comfortable width for what I'm looking for. Thanks everyone for the input!
