A story

I was skiing yesterday at this little hill in bumfuck Minnesota and there was this little girl named Katie (probably 5) hiking a small flatbox at the top of the park on her old skis. After a few hikes she'd ride down and pop off all the rail lips and ride back up.

I cheered for her at one point, and she smiled and skied on. A little while later she was hopping onto this steeper longer box within the rest of the park. Girl was a rockstar! I was so stoked to talk to her and tell her how awesome it was to see her shredding the park. Little later her friend was following her through. TWO sub 5 year old girls in the park with little experience just slaying. HELL YES!

Anyway, reminded me the joy that this sport brings to us when we look at it's simplicity. Let Katie be an inspiration for your season. Push yourself, but enjoy the ride.

Pumped to see what ladies do this season

Hells yeah! Love that shit.

I really feel as though there's been some serious momentum swelling up this summer for women's freeride across the world - so I agree: can't wait to see what we can achieve with the coming season.

(Literally just booked my transport out to France for New Years week so am extra stoked right now!)

There was a girl like that This year at Snowflex! Her name was Lauren!

I'm on mobile right now so This might not embed but Lauren is in this video! She is adorable! She would do a couple small shifties on a box and she called it "switchy feet" Ahh. So adorable!

My favorite thing in the world is to watch the little kids rail jam. To see so much love for the sport in such tiny munchkins is one of the most inspiring things to see. Plus it's ridiculous how hard some of them shred.
