a sad sad day at the alyeska terrain park

saturday afternoon, i drove up to alyeska... the shadow was just moving across the bowl, and the lights were just beginning to flicker. it was raining, snowing, and windy. i drive to my cabin, put on my gear, and head up... taking up the tram, i skied down to picnic.. not a single mcjibber in sight... hmm? where could they all be? i go down to chair 7, and to my disbelief... i see an actual TERRAIN park.. with rails, jumps, and quarter pipes to boot... AND NOT A SOLE was in it? the weather had cleared, and it was a warm, pleseant night. all i see nowadays are kids throwing the ugliest, misty 10s off horseshoe, with no style, no grabs, and no landings. what has happened to the spirit, the progression of our sport? we have asked them to build us a park, and no one is even using it! it seems like the cool thing to do now is find everything wrong in every aspect of skiing, and complain... then do nothign about it. take it back to the basics, it may not be the best park in North America, but its the best its ever been at Alyeska, and its OUR park, a park we fought for... so lets GIVE them a reason to make it better... and start progressing our casms in it... and what better time then night skiing on a saturday night? im sure they wanna put more money into it when NOONE is using it!

 
yeah, and why aren't you kids using the snow available to you. i am down here in washington, skiing at baker where there is NO SNOW at yet i'm still skiing. and everyone here has the spirit of progression, the park crew works their ass off to have a nice little set up of various boxes and rail and everyone progresses their asses off in there. GET ON IT KIDS!

wow zach u must have missed me because the last 3 days ive been hiking that park for 3 hours straight...i even helped the crew put in the 60 flat bar. and ive been progressing my self to no end on the last table and all the rails....

^sooorrry but why werent you there at the most crucial, most progressive time of the week... saturday night jib sessions... thats where alot of the roots come from

 
ya we have been hitting the park a lot, that was the night of the progressive dinner tho so alot of people had to do that

I came to Alyeska from Canada and that park was pretty sick compared to some of the stuff we have here. No doubt compared to our best park it isn't up to par but it is pretty close.

Word up.

ive seen 2 people throw 9s f the last table in the chair 7 park. people are usong it just only the good people. wich we dont have very many of
