So I went out and bought a couple albums lately because I figured I should buy at least 3 cds a year. And it's less hassle then downloading. I bought -The White Stripes

-The Strokes

-The Vines

I know it sounds cliche and I really don't like the act that they are all 'THE' bands but I really enjoy the music so screw it. What I want to know is who else likes this stuff? Are there any other bands that are similar that you suggest I check out (specifically reminiscent of The Strokes)?

i like the vines, i like the strokes and i like the white stripes so i guess that means yes, i also like those 3 band but i do not have an anwser to your second question. Those 3 bands are not my favourite although the white stripes are up there on the list

 
I have only heard a little of each band but it seemsto me if you have one then you automatically have the others.
