What kind of cameras did you guys use? I would really love to see an edit that looks like it’s from 2010 but has a bunch of 2018 tricks.

Junction 133 was consistently putting out some of the highest quality content back then, he filmed with a Sony Ex-1 + glidecam. He was an absolute boss and frequently used the glidecam one handed with a camera remote in the other hand for dynamic zooms, never seen anyone else do it like him

heres my fav edit from him released in 2011

I remember back in the days before GoPro around 2004 when we first got a helmet cam. Back then it was not standalone but hooked into an actual camcorder. So you basically had to put the camera on your helmet at the lodge and put the camcorder in your backpack. When you got to the top of the line your buddy had to open the pack, pull out the camcorder and set it to record with the helmet cam plugged into the input. Usually you got a bunch of snow in the pack with the camcorder and the cold tweaked the batteries. Once its set up to record, you had to throw the camcorder back in the pack then tap your buddy's helmet to ski the line. Usually you cant review the footage until the end of the day only to find you had the damn thing pointed too high or low. Lol That was back when i was skiing on Salomon Pocket Rockets with bullet hole stickers on my helmet.
