A question for all you religious people.

The answer isn't that hard, he could make an infintly large stone but still be able to lift it.

This is kind of a stupid question though. There are so many things about God that we can't begin to understand. It's just stupid when people try to argue that dinosaurs didn't exist and that God literally created the world in seven days. THE BIBLE IS NOT A FACTUAL HISTORY BOOK AND IS NOT MEANT TO BE TAKEN LITERALLY! I answered this question, but I'm sure there are thousands of questions about God that are impossible for us to understand. Just deal with it.
 
Think of this:

When we die, we have no concious aknowledgement of existince itself, so you will feel nothing. It's not like when you die you're going to be sitting in the ground going "OMG I HAVE NO BRAIN ANYMORE".

I personally am not afraid of death, in fact I am actually looking foward to it. I beleive the sensation of spending your last moments living can be one of the most beautiful things ever. I just dont want to die too soon, because that would interfere with the sensation of living in satisfaction.
 
god may be real but Jesus was a total lier. Jesus was just the lucky son of a bitch some 2000 years ago who people started to seriously follow and he became the supreme shit. During that time there were so many people like Jesus you could have followed 100 guys in one day. I love how billions of people believe in a total fucking lie.

I know I may have offended some people but fuck them. Thats what I truly believe and dont give a shit if what you studied in bible class has told you different.
 
How are you sure that he's a liar? I'd say that as impossible to prove that he wasn't lying, it's just as impossible to tell that he is.

However, I don't think this proves anything. And if the question couldn't be answered it doesn't disprove anything. We aren't meant to know whether or not there is a God. That's why it's called FAITH

 
there are 2 answers to the question. the way you answer the question is based on your belief. if you believe got is limited by logic God could not make the rock if you believe god can do whatever he will's then he could make a rock so huge that not even he could lift it; and then if he watned to lift it, he would.
 
i think, that right outside, the natural world that we all take for granted, can be so amazing that its like why bother trying to learn a religion. They don't pay attention to what's right in front of them.
 
I think this topic requires far more maturity than most of NS has, but thus far I'm impressed.
