A Question for all the ladies

Ok so one of my good friends pays a lot of attention to what he wears. He has like 10 pairs of shoes and when he buys clothes, which is all the time, he only gets shirts or hats if it matches any of his other clothes. And any time we go to a party he has to have a certain outfit that he likes. basically he spends a lot of time thinking of what to wear.
to me this seems like a very womanish thing and a waist of time. i never put that much thought into it. I usually just wear a nice t-shirt and jeans when i go to a party. every once in a while i wear a polo.
so my question is, how much of a factor do clothes play in when you meet/see a guy?

one time this guy in my school wore a SCARF to school. A FUCKIN SCARF. i want to get opinions on this shit. his brother is the epitome of a hispter and i guess the kid wants to be like him.

seriously, what guy wears a scarf for an entire day indoors? opinions, ladies?

I appreciate a well-dressed guy, especially nice shoes. Not going to judge a guy entirely based on what he wears, but if he obviously put some effort into it he's almost always going to get a second look. Its more because they stand out than everything else. Yeah Joe Blow looks just fine in a shirt and sneakers. But he looks the same as the 30 other guys there dressed exactly the same way so I'm unlikely to notice him.

basically, lol. but it wasn't just like a scarf to keep your neck warm. similar to one of these:

Clothes is huge, actually.

If a guy is wearing the same shit every time I see him it's kind of gross. Or if his clothes smell like fucking SHIT... I swear you guys don't know how to do the laundry.

A good clean outfit is key. The other day my friend had a nice slim (not skinny) fit pair of jeans and a slim fit new Nomis long sleeve shirt thing with a hoodie. It was fit, clean, and stylish. Very attractive.

BUT on the other hand... if he's wearing scarves and putting way too much time into his outfit like Jossi it's also a turn off. That's just weird.

AND I NEED TO GET THIS OUT THERE: Pleeeease for the love of GOD don't wear Tall T's outside of skiing... I love looking at your ass in a pair of jeans as much as you love looking at mine (not mine specifically, you know what I mean). That and I like your tight flat strong chests. I can't see it through big ass baggy T-Shirts.

dressing well is a plus obviously, but it seems like your friend is a little obsessive with looking good? i think girls would just find that weird (well at least i do). personality > clothes anyway

Sounds like a pussy. I'm guessing 9th or 10th grade. Probably has little besides being fashion conscious going for him. At least that was my recollection of high school.

UGH that makes me want to barf. I HATE it when guys care that much about what they wear. It's a total turn off for me. If there is a reason to get dressed up/put a lot of thought into what you are wearing then that is totally fine. Otherwise just throw something on,.. its not that hard. If i wanted to be with a Woman id go find myself one... but i want to be with a Man.

ten pairs of shoes and he buys matching clothes? HOLY SHIT maybe he doesnt want to look like trash and/or a fucking dumbass. op, you should congratulate him prematurely for getting more pussy than you will ever think about

haha right, that's what I was thinking. If I had the money to buy lots of clothes and shoes I would. I'd rather not wear the same thing time, and time again. But then again, I don't have that kind of money.

i like a guy with good sty.but then again i find guys who wear tall tees/ jiberish attractive. and scarves..look good good if you can pull it off

I like men who dress scruffy, and have beards.

You know, men that look like they've been living in a tent for 6 months.

Like the singer of this band

Phil, you wear your Saga flatbrim, that green arsenic tall tee Dan gave you, and your lohi every day. Every day. Every day. You wouldn't change if you had lots of money......

I just got that lohi like....a week ago. I almost never wear the green aresenic unless I'm skiing. I wear the yellow one. I have lots of t-shirts and lots of sweat shirts that I wear. You only see me once a week. But yes, I do wear the saga flat brim everyday.

But you have worn the lohi errrrday dince you got it

You wore the green arsenic for like 2 months straight

:)

when i go out, i make sure i have matching clothes. correct me if i'm wrong pinknames, but don't you love a man who looks good?

refer to the video I posted.

If you look like you live in a tent, you are attractive.

I absolutely HATE guys who spend time choosing clothes, you pick something up, sniff it, and if it smells clean you put it on. Simples.

like a lot of things it's a fine line. you gotta look fresh as fuck but at a certain point if you put too much thought/time into it you'll just look like a tool

You know,

I never EVER see any mods making warnings about derogatory threads towards girls, or derogatory comments at girls. I can't tell you the number of times I've been told, "Get back in the kitchen bitch." And IMO I'm actually a pretty well-liked female NS member if you see my rating. I can't imagine the number of times other girls here it.

In fact, the other week I blew up at a guy for continual derogatory comments in a thread towards me and used the "F" word for homosexual in my response, NOT even directed at him and I got banned... He didn't.

I'm not saying it's okay, I'm just saying that if you're going to stick up for them, you should also probably stick up for us.
