i like summit. its a great place to ski. i know people, it feels like home. i just cant find the right roommate{s} and its wearing me down; to the point where i had to take a short leave of absence.

i live here year round. got a good job in the summer, got a decent job in the winter, all i need is a nice place. everyone i try to live with says either

A: its too expensive - (bitches)

B: i dont want to sign a lease

C: can some of my friends stay here? (meaning can i rent the couch and any closet space we have)

D: can i grow? (with no intention of getting a card)

or some other shit like them not taking showers after they go on a week long drinking binge.

ive kind of come to the conclusion that summit is not made to be lived in; just to visit for a while. 5 months max.

which is depressing cause i like living here and would like to keep living here,.

kind of a rant obviously. just drove for 29 hours straight and am super pissed that i had to do it.
 
Its never never land, not exactly a place to grow up and be mature. More like burn out and move to dillon valley
 
this place seems to eat people alive. its fun but i think i may be heading to mammoth or oregon next season.
 
SLC is good to beat that crowd...partly because of the Mormon vibe but also because its a larger city and people actually care about their job.

Not to mention the skiing is at 4x as good as Colorado.

I have cabin fever, and I've been extremely picky about where I live. So far I've been living in Summit Cover for about 500 a month... it's been torture. Working at Keystone SRS is not cutting it since the economy is down. GAH! I need new boots! I need to get through mud season! I need a car! I can hardly pay rent right now.

im fine with dealing with assholes but when you start to effect my daily life in a negative way, thats when i flip shit. this kid pissed on my floor so i made him give me 50 bucks for a rug doctor.... he turns around and tries suing me. who tries to sue someone because YOU passed out drunk and pissed yourself?

another leaves the front door open all night; not unlocked like straight fuckin open. ive had sooooo many roommates in summit and they are all just drunk as fuck and still trippin cause their friend was like "omg tehehehe lets take this whole vial of L" one night.

another brought home these two hag lookin bitches that dont live in CO, just driving through- he met at the bar. had to be at least 45, 200+ lbs - they slept in the living room cause (i guess) he was too drunk to get it up that night for some reason. so they sleep there all alone. im in my room, hes in his. i wake up to be the responsible one and go to work, what do i find? every fuckin valuable thing is gone. no shit. didnt see that comin right?

then the kid that pissed on my floor and the kid that got all my shit stolen got this crazy scheme to fuck my car up for me to get the message that i should move????? mirrors busted off, keyed the shit out of it, flat tires, broken windows, dents all up it.

i could go on and talk about the 4 other places i was at while in summit. one other one which included a sheriff showing up to my work with a court summons from another past roommate tryin to get money cause HE fucked up.

 
Ummm... you're definitely living with some fucked up people. Most of the Summit County people I know are definitely not like that. My roommates are a pain in my fucking ass, but we respect each other.
 
a lot of these kids i lived with were natives..... springs, denver, g springs, foco etc. so its really disheartening. i always end up doing the grunt work too. find the place, sign the lease, setup the power bill, clean the shit out of the place and what not. then the person im living with does something ridiculous and i am forced to leave or live like shit. so the other person ends up with the good end of the deal cause i always lease really dope places.

ive met a few people who were actually born and raised in summit hahah, o fuck theyre dumb. i know theres legit people out there but i cant find them for some reason.
 
wow, seems like you have had some bad luck...i'm sure you can find someone, somewhere in summitt that is legit and doesnt do such retarded shit all the time. try finding people a little older?? i bet the ones who were your previous roommates were around college aged, find some more responsible people in their mid or late 20's? that would be a good option.
 
Well my roommate is possibly moving back to Longmont or heading off to either Israel, NZ, Scotland... who the fuck knows... But anyway, if you need a place to live during the summer or even winter just hit me up.
 
ill be back in the summer fo sho. i had a resort job this winter so i dont have a pass anymore. thats the reason i never wanted a resort job. ill hit you up.
 
target denied me man haha. bunch a bitches. i guess im not slow/special enough to work there

the tents cool if you got people to rent to. otherwise its boring as shit; theres too much downtime.
