God Damnit, I've been discovered.

haha. No way. That guy totally sat on the bus near me the other day. Or at least someone that looked extremely like him. The guy had a walker and a hat with multiple marijuana pins hanging off of it.

It depends, I do feel sometimes as if movies drag on way to much. I love watching them but some of the bigger companies out there produce movies that are good but maybe a tad long.
I should rephrase this, if there is lifestyle etc like in nimbus etc I enjoy watching them more. I guess also I could be a webisode style person as I enjoy chug life and a traveling circus... I guess I am undecided on this topic. I don't not enjoy them, I just enjoy shorted movies more because they typically are the style I like

for me, a good 1 hr movie is the best. but thats just my opinion.. i like ski movies broken up with narration and the thoughts of the riders, it makes it feel more like a move... for instance seven sunny days was perfect for me. but its all opinion... if u don't like a long ski movie... DON'T BUY IT.. there are dozens of ski movies out there.. many of which are 30 mins.

whatever. i just watched some old MSP movies this past week and they were all over 30 min long and they were all awesome.

because everyone likes watching 5 minutes of brad holmes rapping, 5 minutes of combined narratives, and 10 minutes of snowmobiling and ski basing with their skiing, right?
msp movies are the epitome of too long.

well i mean i guess if you've got something against mcconkey and roner then you're probably an assbag anyways.

i mostly agree..

i think the best movies are ones you can watch start to finish.

eg. believe. couldnt have been much longer then 30 minutes

Just watched Think Thank's Right Brain. It's almost exactly 30 minutes, and it's fucking awesome. Case and point right there. Brevity is a virtue.
I haven't even started Left Brain, but I can't wait to compare it.

Awesome flick but Levin's right you could still have cut some stuff out of there.

There is never any need for more than 2 angles on a shot.

There is no need to show the same trick done on the same feature.

There is no need to interview the riders about random bullshit.

There is no reason that a movie should be over 50 minutes.

wouldn't cut anything out of 1242, i always watch every seg. but in most other movies i could find something to cut

Exactly. There's roughly 3-4 segments that I feel inclined to watch EVER again.
and to ^
Word.
As I said, just watched Think Thank's newest and there's only a handful of shots that they show from more than one angle. On top of that, they use slow-mo verrrrry carefully and the right way; to highlight something really special, or to show something subtle that is very easy to miss the first time in real-time.
They ingeniously split a 60 minute movie in to halves, gave each a theme, and featured different riders hitting different setups. I truly feel like I bought a double LP where each "side" works on its own, but really shines as a whole.
Look out for a crazy rant coming soon.

Well, Hugo/Treadway/Seth was a bit out of place, especially with Seth's material from High Society outtakes. Still, the song choice and editing made up for it. Go Levin.

yes. Also LSS does not have anything extra. Some movies like a lot of the recent Poorboyz movies shouldn't even have been made.
