A Mammoth Timelapse

Just thought I'd share this with you guys. I shot most of this while driving my snow cat or sitting in the hot springs at Mammoth.
I'm a little retarded at this embed thing. anyone want to help me out?

Shit is dope Bernie! Is that all digital camera or DSLR with a timing mechanism? And did you add the pans with an editing program?

I bought a remote shutter and timing mechanism for my Nikon D90 and have been doing similar stuff. So much fun, especially at night...

I shot the whole thing on my canon 60D with a Pixel wireless intervelometer. I shoot large sized jpgs or raw so I can zoom and pan through the shots. All of the moving tracks I've found are way to expensive for my budget. The next purchase on my list are some better lenses. After Effects seems to be the easiest way to import a jpg sequence as a movie and then I used Final Cut to edit and color correct with. It looks like you're doing the same thing for your shots. I'm down in Thredbo for the season so i'll be shooting a bunch of timelapse stuff here. Cool movie. I'm way into how the nighttime timelapses look.

I was reading your last comment and saw a few things that you can do better. First is don't do color correction in the video editing side. It has no where near the capabilities of PS or Lightroom. I would suggest using Lightroom and selecting a photo that is representative of the timelapse clip. Then edit that one photo and apply the same settings to the whole series and Export.

Next is your intervals. The clouds were moving very very fast, sometimes that's a good thing if the clouds are at a distance but when the clouds are close, use a shorter intervals, around 3-5 seconds.

Keep it up, timelapses are a lot of fun

I thought the interval time was pretty on point, Not choppy very well blended. Props man, Looking forward to what you get this summer.
