Alright....I usually don't post things like this because I always feel like I might do more harm than good. But I have always been impressed by the support shared by this community when others ask for help so I thought, why not. A friend of mine, Chris Harvey; freeskier, BASE jumper, and recently wounded soldier is on his way back from Iraq after 13 months. A group of friends down in Star, Idaho are trying to throw him one kick ass, Patron filled, welcome home party. My friend Beth found a local bakery business running a contest for a free cake (wedding style) and thinks it would be better won for Chris, rather than some newlywed couple who will be showered with free toasters and Bed Bath and Beyond gift cards.
