A little sizing help...

NS,

I have been doing some research and such and looking into what size ski would be best for me. I am 5'10" maybe 5'11" and 150lbs. I bought 173 Atomic punx this summer thinking they would be money, but I have grown since then-I think I'm pretty much done growing now though. Anyway...Last year I rode 171 anthems and thought they worked pretty well-no complaints. Now when I compare my 173 punx to my 171 anthems they are actually a good 3cm shorter it seems. They (punx) fall right about at my nose. I live in WI so no huge jumps for me, although I am going out west for a month. I probably will ski like 65% rails, 20% smaller jumps-40 feet and under, and 15% bigger jumps (when i go out west). I recently received a good deal on some 179 k2 domains (2010/2011) which I skied last year and really enjoyed, so I was considering getting those and selling the punx. My question is, what would be the best ski in terms of size and the type of skiing I do? I like both skis, would be open to either, but my punx are shorter than I expected them to be and I've heard the domains are longer than 179, however they do have the rocker involved. Thanks for any input, I would really appreciate some advice on this.

i would sell the punks and buy the domains. you will be a lot more comfortable skiing the 179. im also the same size as you and ski 181's. It sucks to have really short skis.

it really is not that short, but remember the punx are a pretty soft ski, so you want all the stability you can get. The 179 domain will ski shorter because of the rocker. so don't let the "179" size scare you away. It will be a good size ski for you.

The 179 domain measures to about 183 (at least they did last year), so also factor that into you decision
