A little help... Does anyone know who this is?

A quick search turned up that his name is Johnny jones, from dunmore, pa. He goes to holy cross high school. He also has another fake Jiberish tee at 22 weeks ago (yellow shirt with block letters). His ns name is jj_afterbang32, but he never logs in

also this is the other fake tee

Its all good. We got it sorted out. He made 2 for himself but never sold or traded them to anyone. We just needed to look into it. Selling/Trading would be illegal.... Private use is a grey area (but still lame in my opinion).

Anyways, man you guys are helpful. It is like having a loyal pack of bloodhounds, haha.

Thx again,

Pete

You work for Jiberish?

Before this thread I was wondering if any one did this like other high end brands (oakley, North Face) but I guess people do.

Pretty sure Pete is one of the co-owners if im not mistaken, but on the other hand going to the lengths of trying to find someone who made a fake jiberish shirt is hilarious.

1. Your shit is almost as mainstream as diamond and all those lame brands so its bound to happen

2. I have seen screens in the graphics room at school with jiberish logos on them since I was a freshman in 08

People are going to duplicate your trash because its a poorly made t shirt with a poorly printed design get the fuck over it

So if you were to have your own company, be that: clothes, cars, skis etc., you wouldn't care if anyone was copying it? So you would enjoy having all those fakes around, making your company and product look like a low quality homemade piece of shit like this guy has done? Yeah, seems legit.

You really have no idea what you're talking about do you? jiberish is nowhere near mainstream. Outside of my buddies I ski with I have yet to see someone wearing jiberish (part of what makes it great).

No biggie. Just wanted to make sure he wasn't selling them. Someone brought that pic to our attention and I asked for some help to figure out if we can prevent it from happening. I think that is something every brand should do, especially since it is illegal and can negatively impact a company monetarily and from a branding perspective.

But I'll address your comments:

1. Diamond is sold everywhere from PacSun to Zumiez. Brand started from nothing and now does 100 million a year in sales. While I'm honored that you would think we are as large as they are, we aren't. We are sold in our own boutiques and a few retail partners. None of which are have more than 1 location or could qualify as a chain by any stretch of the imagination.

2. Sure people make fakes. But in order for them to properly duplicate our "trash" they'd need to cut-and-sew their own T-Shirts since ours are made in our factory with our own patterns. You can spot a fake quite easily. We don't use blanks for anything we make.

Obviously people makes fakes of everything from hand bags to sneakers and everything in between. If your product is easy to replicate then it is on you to make it better so it can't be replicated. And typically people only make fakes if there is a way for them to have those products made for a lot less than that company is charging. That margin between the two is directly related to amount of fakes in the marketplace. If we were using an All-Style blank tee or a Gildan Hoodie to print on it might make sense to make fake pieces of ours. But to go out and have our clothing remade to look like what we sell would cost way too much. Anyone who knows our brand could spot a fake instantly.

To folks who helped, thanks again. You guys are incredibly supportive and while this was just some kid making stuff for himself and we got it all sorted out, it is appreciated.

Never sold that piece Shawn. It was given to family because we didn't make traditional tall tees. You know that.

lol, you're such a fag. I remember I went in to your store when it just opened (purely out of curiosity), I was like fifteen and I asked how much some shirt was and you were like [ insert: faggy American nerdy voice] "yeah those are just like for faamily members yeah", then I asked about a hat and you said [insert: faggy American nerdy voice] "yeeeaah those are just like ya know for faamily members again yeah", then me and my friends just started laughing and left.

You're so busy trying to be hip and follow trends it makes your brand have literally zero identity, despite the fact you sponsor good skiers, your wannabe swag shit isn't cool. I thought it was kinda cool at one point -when I was 15, until I realised how gay it actually was.

Someone's mad jiberish makes high quality, nice looking clothing that's too expensive for them.

so much hate. only brand i know that sponsors skiers and still holds it down in a city like boston. pay no attention to the haters they just don't understand. on another note i'll be stopping by sometime this week for some new digs.

My brother bought one of your hoodies, hit a tree on the 2nd run, got airlifted, and the paramedics cut the shit out of it. How are you gonna cut up a Jiberish hoodie?! Sure he had brain trauma, but it's a Jiberish hoodie..

why the hate? pete is literally just protecting the brand, like any sensible businessman would do. please make a heavier hoodie next year though.

Haha damn I was told I was a hit tonight on here so I had to sign in ... Dude , join the police force for criminal investigations haha catchin all those bandits through social medias .. H hahah good shit

Someone caught some feelings, Pete is the man and anyone who knows him or has had a convo with him knows what's up

We are all over it.

Beefed up all Winter 14 Hoodies to 450gsm weight (its real heavy). Plus we added double thickness side ribbing and cover stitched all seams on all hoodies and crews. If there is a higher quality hoodie out there, I have not seen it. The new stuff is a major jump for us, and we already made what we felt was really nice sweatshirts prior to these substantial improvements.

And this is why you're one of my favorite brands. You actually respond to customer complaints and suggestions, and still interact with the community your brand was born from. Keep killin' it Jiberish, and I'll keep buying your stuff.

Also lol at the kid posting who made the tank.

Fuck the haters. Attitudes like that are the reason you'll NEVER have the balls to start a company that makes something you're passionate about. Slow your roll, ease up on the jealousy, and keep your mouth shut.

I SAW THIS KID ON THE BOARDWALK LAST WEEK DURING SENIOR WEEK. I was gonna ask him about the fake tank but he looked like a huge douche so I didnt even bother.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I love kids who sit back and hate with zero idea of what they are talking about. Could not be a better indication of their general level of happiness in their life or lack there of.
