A list of Movies to see

honestly.

i love that movie but.

it wouldnt be on my ultimate list of movies you MUST watch. its funny. but. come on.

compared to other instant classics and core shattering films it doesnt stand a chance! even in the realm of comedies..so many funnier and wittier ones out there!

oh man has anyone seen the party starring peter sellers. sooo funny.

Origins was sweet if you didn't read the Graphic Novels...

Also Star Trek was baller, even with 0 knowledge of Star Trek.

Un Chein Andalou (one of the most amazing films if you are into surrealism)

A Clockwork Orange (mentioned a bunch of times..but once more deosnt hurt)

Coffee and Cigarettes (nothing better than watching 11 short scenes of people talking about how amazing coffee is. and i dont think there will be another film with RZA, GZA and Bill Murray in the same scene..)

I Heart Huckabees (a comedy based on existentiality, i really liked it)

yes. i loved it

the graduate

trainspotting

back to the future

those are ones ive recently rewatched. i had forgotten how good they were.

I watched an online version of this before it was released and it was amazing. then i bought the dvd when it came out and a couple things were changed that really disappointed me. (For example, when theyre down by the river drinking 40's, the orinigal song was a biggie track but they switched it to an R&B song. it doesnt work because she asks about the song if i remember correctly) still a very solid movie though.

YES she DOES ask about the song. and i know EXACTLY which part you're talking about!!!! as if they changed that. i also watched it online before it was released and then watched it again last week at a buddy's place but i didnt notice that...prob cuz i was mad stoned. but yeah. thats silly!!

Yeah its fuckin beat. I dont know about you, but im real into hip hop so that was a major blow to the movie. hopefully you dont notice it and let it irk you now haha

Hmmm, I haven't posted here in a while! These have already probably been posted (maybe even by me) but whatever.

Historical movies (yes, seriously):

Enemy at the Gates, Platoon, Rosewood,

Silly movies:

The Pick of Destiny

I re watched fight club with a cinematographers eye not too long ago and Im not a hardcore fan of the movie. that and Donnie Darko

if you want to watch something that you can appreciate as a cinematographer then i recommend the following:

solaris, the russian version from the 70s NOT the george clooney crappy version

2001 a space ship odyssey

those two are quite similar in style of camera movement and long take and colour etc.

andrei rublev same idea but in black and white.

the diving bell and butterfly.

all of them display a great display of good choices cinematography wise.

I feel like this hasnt been said yet.

Koyaanisqatsi is one of the BEST movies i've ever seen. It's basically all slow mo, and timelapse shots.

Really, really really really worth it.

Lesbian Vampire Killers.

So random and so hilarious, if you like silly cheesy movies you might like this one.

just watched gran turino. im sure its been said in here already but its such a good movie. especially since i watched new in town the night before it made me want to puke it was so horrible

Probably all of these have been said but

Boondock saints

American history X

Anchorman

The goonies

Fight Club

Blow

Platoon

Enemy at the gates

The warriors

The big lebowski
