A few words on Few Words

Mind Blowing... Best ski movie to date in my opinion. I had always respected candide, but seeing all of his best shots together really blew me away. I would say he is the best skier of all time hands down. The superpark segment, and candide invitational seg gave me chills to the bone, fucking unbelievable. If you havent seen this movie, you need to ... go and buy it on iTunes and (get stoned like I did) and then sit back and enjoy the best ski movie of all time. I watched it last night and my head hurts today cause I literally facepalmed in disbelief so many times.

And Goddamn , every time I watch Candide hit Big bertha (a jump with a 150ft flat), and come up just 5 feet short ..... man I feel so bad. makes me sick to my stomach

I agree completely. For those of you who haven't seen it, it is definitely worth the purchase. Incredible skiing, filming, editing, everything.

agreed, agreed, agreed, agreed

although i was disappointed that they skimmed over the superpark hip so quickly. even regular ski movies that year had more elaborate shots of that. him just going straight up huge on the hip, then taking it straight for the first time, then doing a 3, then doing a couple 5s...

but yeah besides that, just mindblowing. my jaw literally dropped a few times and my face met with my palm a couple times too. dude sticks landings when he looks like he's just going to explode on impact

i loved the movie and agree candide is one of the best in the world. However, i thought the story could have been told a little better. Would have liked to see more footage and less talking heads. Either way, well worth the money and I look forward to seeing what else he comes up with

Im so glad Candide is getting some recognition again. After that hit on big bertha he fell of the map and the industry just forgot about him. He has always been one of my favorite skiers. No one went as huge as that guy did. A true freestyle pioneer.

a few words about a thread with a few words about a few words..

enough threads. you just want attention and people to read your opinion... movie was good, great documentary about candide's life. Could have used more skiing instead of planet earth visuals

there have been like two threads on it, and it's an epic movie about probably the best freeskier ever. "you just want attention" go fuck yourself dude..

Dude my intention was sharing my thoughts and stoke, and trying to convince people that havent seen it to buy it hahaha

While I like movies like Sunny, Weight, WE, etc. Few words was on a whole other level. It was fantastic, everything about it. Everything behind it along with the "documentary" aspect is what I love. It reminded me of "Like a Lion" with T-Hall. Fantastic Movies.

definitely just two...

$18!?!?!? Was gonna go buy it but man, that's steep as fuck for a digital dl. Should be able to get a hard copy for that price

the top two listed are the only real threads on it ive seen, there's MAYBE one more on there that is a thread discussing the content of the movie. i dont see why youre putting such an effort into being a stick in the mud but isnt there some other insignificant thing you could twist your panties over?

god forbid there are two whole threads about a movie on one of the best skiers ever. whatever, i shouldnt bother trying to make sense of posts like yours. my b

was just watching this and noticed he pole plants on his dub 12 japan and double pole plants on his triple backflip. wtf candide, wtf

yes i know this, ive watched candide for years, but on anything more than a single pole planting is insane, how many other people do pole planted dubs?

Candide has put 3 years into this movie. No, I haven't bought this movie yet and I'm very sad about it and do it as soon as I can. 18$ is still cheap for how much input this movie has.

I paid $31 for a blu-ray copy and I was a bit displeased. Then the movie showed up on my doorstep, best money I have ever spent on a ski movie... (sorry L1P, you guys are a close third... right behind the $20 I spent on The Game 12 years ago).

I finally watched this movie and I have to say....I was absolutely blown away. This is now my favourite ski movie of all time (with 1242). Candide is completely unreal and skis like no one else on the planet. His story is unbelievably captivating. The movie is very well done. To everyone who lives for skiing and grew up with the sport you need to watch this movie.

Jesus, bro. If you wanted to suck a guy's dick you can PM him. You don't have to make a thread dancing around the subject by overly praising a movie that's been praised a thousand times before.

It was one of the films being played on my flight back from New Zealand, was pretty suprised to see it on there but it made the 30 hour plus flight go so much quicker! Such a great film, so many awesome shots from his childhood all the way through to the many high points in his life. Loved watching his X-Games wins and the part where he's doing inverts on to the down rail.
