click for larger photos and better colors (at least it seems that when i click on a picture in an NS thread, it seems a little more accurate color wise, but i could be wrong)

those look nice
here're a few things i noticedphoto 1- 2nd exposure was too bright in the HDR so it looks a bit fakephoto 2- nice work with the HDR but i don't love the angle, maybe offset the concrete thing a bit morephoto 3- needs more colorphoto 4, 5, and 6 are awesomephoto 7- would be nicer if the dog was looking at you but i like the funky angle

thanks! i re-did number 1 with a 1/3 stop lower exposure (i bracketed for this reason haha) and made the HDR strength a lot less in photomatix. i like this one, you can see the sky a lot better

way better
what i didn't like was how bright the fence was, it looked like you were using a flash, this is much better

^thanks man. i have been trying to stay away from the non-realistic hdr shots (well, i don't do many, but when i do them i try to make them not look really fake, but enough to see that it isnt just a 1 shot type of deal) and i sorta didn't do that on the first version of that shot haha. i like this one much better as well, and thanks again for your input.
and BUMP

sorry if this is off topic but can someone make a basic explanation of HDR imaging and how to do it? i don't get it.

its taking a series of photos (usually 2,3,5, or 7) and combining them with using a program(photomatix is the best) to create a single image of the both highs and lows

nice! i only go to school up there (colby college) but it is an amazing place up in those parts of maine. i always have a good time. i think my calc teacher lives in skowhegan
and to the poster above me, thank you, and all of these were taken with a nikon d200. that particular shot was (according to exif data) 1/160 f5.6 at 200mm w/ iso set to 100
