A Day That Changed My Life...

It was January when it hit. We had barely made it over Teton Pass because of the snow. Forecasters were calling for 18-24 inches by midnight that night, and another 6-12 the next morning. It had already snowed over 2 feet by the time we had arrived.

We wake up the next morning with high hopes of an epic day that had come. After getting to the mountain we had made it in line for what we thought was going to be 10th tram. Surprisingly, we had made it up to 3rd bunch up.

The vibe was electric. Stepping in felt like all of the shots that I had seen in all of our favorite shred flicks. Everyone was set on one thing. Getting back to the secret spots and hot lapping pow lines.

Dropping in, I knew first turn this was the deepest day of my life. It was a sensation that I will never ben able to explain in words. Some spots were almost overhead. Wind lips were formed perfectly like sculptures among giant rock statues. It was a day that I will never ever forget..

A tribute to the best resort in the United States...

Dude, same day at kirkwood. Something like 40" over night. People were insane and so was the skiing.

I skied jackson on a 30" day a couple years ago. Pretty life changing as well. Here is a still from my go pro footage. You can't see my pole which is attempting to plant. Picture is pre face shot.

Yeeaa Karma Police good to hear. Kirkwood is fuckin dope when it is on. I must say though, you should really consider getting a pole cam for the uber deep days. They are super cheap and they really give you a good perspective of how deep the snow actually is.

Meh, I'm from Ontario and I still get my fair share of pow, you just have to work harder for it and kind of lower your expectations of what a "powder day" is haha.

Glad you got to enjoy it! I've been there twice, one day after a 6 foot storm (in one night) and another with around 4 feet in two days. I didn't get to ski either. Congrats!
