This is a PSA of sorts.

Now, I have no problem with snowboarders, and this isn't a bashing thread. This is just me asking fellow NS'ers this:

If you ride with snowboarders, and you are at A-Basin please ask your friends to, if they are going to sit on their asses and not do shit, to not clog up the area leading up to the jibs. I see skiers wanting to hit the features and not just sit all day, while many boarders fucking sit there and do shit, talk shit, or perhaps maybe even try to make profits off shitty energy drinks therefore obstructing access to the C and other features.

Thank you.

it does suck, yet you just have to be aggresive in the lineup and weave your way to the fornt. once you start hiking it's not too bad, you only have to wait for 5 people or so. really fun rails too

and then us skiers can look like snakes for cutting off the hordes, man its early season to reason to stress about this.

a couple days ago i was sitting infront of another sitting snowboarder, and like 5 seconds after i sat down he says "how about you get out of the way so we can go"  he had been sitting down for like 10 minuites doing nothing then he yells at me for getting in the way.  i just said "awww mr gwumpy needs me to give him a hug!"  and he said something like " no i need you to get out of the way and stop acting gay so i can hit the rail"  so i said i loved him and got out of the way and he stood there for awhile then sat back down once i left. my snowboarder friend was making fun making gay comments him all day cause he sucked ass.  he was just a pissed off ass hole.

Yea, you are right I should probably calm down. Actually, I'm not really mad at all, I just think there has to be a better way.

YES! ive been complaining about this for the last few weeks! theres a crew of about 30-40 kids who sit at the top just watching all day, and they all sit there, drink beer, and hate on everyone hitting the rails... we call these people scenesters, theyre like posers, but they actually come to teh "scene"

You are so right it is not even funny. I hate to stereotype people, I really do. But it is like 30-40 kids who all are wearing some sort of purple or neon green, possibly tight pants, and they all snowboard and sit around "ya brahhhh, totally tubular gnartasitically sick dudeeeee, did you see Mikey Leblanc in that movie dudddee? He is so Gnnaaaaaarrrrr brahhhhhhh". And yes, the bigger issue is not that they are robots, but that they seriously get in the fucking way.

It's the drugs & lack of motivation towards life. I had to hold this chick by her jacket cuz she was soooo wasted next to me on the chair and I didn't want her falling off. Hilarious.

if she was hot you should've been like hey i saved your life you owe me a sexual favor. if she wasnt hot then nevermind

That shit does get annoying.

Maybe all the snowboarders that sit at the top of the lift could leave a little room for people to get by too.

it's like this pretty much everywhere you go in the country, i see it when i ski in CO and tahoe for a few weeks every winter and spring break, but even here on the mid-atlantic coast it's bad...in fact, it's probably worse because the skill level is even lower

early season when there's just a couple jibs set up like 30 boarders will clog the opening to the mini park...it's no big deal though cause if you watch for long enough you'll realize only maybe half of them are actually gonna hit anything, most of them are just sitting there so that they can be SEEN sitting there. if you stand around for a minute or two and notice this, just cruise to the front of the lineup and kinda say "drop? anyone?" and i guarantee you almost all of them will have not heard you cause theyre so scared looking down at the setup, having never really hit one before. by the time they realize you just asked them a question and snap out of their trance, they go "what? oh...oh yeah, go ahead man, wahtever"

yeah if there is one thing about snowboarding its this. they sit around dressed like they are awesome and just talk really loud like they are awesome but they just sit down the whole day. and pretty much every snowboarder cares sooooooo much about how cool they look, it gets pretty rediculous.  i keep seeing snowboarders with like a sweatshirt on, tall t over that, unzipped coat over that, then like a jersey or another tall t or something over the unzipped shirt.  ive seen like 5 people dressed crazy like this, one is my friend, its funny when i ski with him. ill be waiting for him for like 30 minuites at the house while he tries on different shirt, sweatshirt, coat, googles, hat, sunglasses, jersey combinations in the mirror.  and there have been some cold days when he has to go inside because he either wont wear a coat cause i guess its not badass enough, or he wont zip up his coat so he is freezing just to look a little cooler.  i made fun of him once by saying he spends more time trying on clothes than my sister and mom combined, and he got all butt hurt.

i can understand wanting to buy sweet looking outerwear, i do spend a bit of money on outerwear. but skiing/snowboarding should be about fun, its not a fashion show.

i just stab them in the ass with my ski tip and say, oops sorry, then make a big deal trying to get around them, so they get the point....passive aggressive?

true but from what ive seen when we are asked to move, we generally do it. not be all stubborn and shit, and be like i can sit wherever i want to douchebag its a free fuckin country.

just a thought
