Anyone know if it's worth going up there this weekend? Park is open but I've never skied there so just looking for any info on what it'd be like this time of year.

Got the itch to ski! Thanks people.

I was there last saturday and sunday. It is definitely worth going, the snow held up surprisingly weel considering it was 75 and sunny both days. There are two tables, a hip, and a bunch of rails. DEFINITELY worth going, enjoy it while it lasts!

 
anyone know how long the park will be up? what kinda booters are we talking about? I haven't been there since october.

 
closing day is june 5th because they are going to start construction on their shitty base area.

^ I wish they would just leave it alone, the parking lots fill up every day what more do they want?

They outlawed camping b/c they couldn't afford a port o let and trash cleanup by their crew but they are getting a new base area? Why

^ bigger parking lots? more people? i hope they actually modernize and put in some express lifts and whatnot.

 
i think they're just working on one or two buildings that really need some work. it'd be nice if the roof didn't leak anymore.

i was just there today and it was really warm and sunny their park consisted of:

-small triple barrel flat down

-a hip

-flat down box

-double barrel down rail

-double barrel flat rail

-flat box

-table

 
I'll be up Saturday... heard the park last weekend was kind of sketch but it sounds like a very fun spring scene, hope to see some of you up there!

 
I just looked at the website and saw the base is down 10 inches from last week, how is the park?

the park is the same as it was a few weeks ago. the jump is nice cause it doesnt hurt at all to fall since theres like a foot of slush on hte landing.

there's a dub bar trapezoid rail at the bottom of the park too, or at least there was last week.

i know a bunch of people who go to the basin just to chill out on the beach and listen to the live music on the weekends. its a really cool vibe.

the park is pretty weak by colorado standards, but its the only thing open so its worth the drive.

i def reccommend a-basin til it closes even if the snow is shitty---- or hit loveland pass- got some sick step ups, hips and kickers

Yeah i went up today, the park was pretty weak but still worth it for the end of may. Also if you look around you can do some pond skimming. Plus skiing in a t shirt is always sick

i definately hope a-basin dosnt get 'modernized' i like it just how it is. slow two seater lifts and sick lines is lots better than 6 person lifts and rolling groomers.
