A-Basin opens tomorrow (10/10)

what has the temperature been during the day at the basin lately? I'm expecting low 40's? spring like?
 
fuck columbus day why the hell did I go back to MA for the week. I guess it saved me some money at least. grrrrrr
 
a basin should beat us every year. our run is twice the length as what they open with and they have a brand spanking new snowmaking system. congrats to a basin! have fun shreading it up tomorrow. it's going to be a pretty sight seeing those chairs going tomorrow. thank god the season is here!

man this probably sucks for you guys, when you guys used to open first you had so many people come up and ski. so much income where as everyone has the summit pass and will just go to abay now.
 
better be some footy weather it's some butters, slalom, trees, beatin ur shit in the snow, put it up
 
it says there will be a couple features in one of the park...it obiviously won't be anything outrageous, but does anyone have any more specific info?
 
yep if our fall break had been this weekend instead of last weekend i def wouldve flown student-standby to CO for a few days...fuck the world

i just got home from a-basin and i have a large smile on my face. I got on the lift at 9:05ish and was back in my car headed home after one run. It was a little hectic with lots of people out of control on a small run, but who cares it is Oct. 10th and i made some turns, yeehaw!
 
meh, not worth going till there is some natural snowfall on the ground and more open than the white ribbon of death. Those are some of the shittiest opening conditions I've ever seen.
 
Damn.. I had no idea they were opening this early.. oh well. I can't even go for like another week and a half at least. Damn it all.
 
ha how can people bitch about conditions on october 10th?  it wasnt too crowded, it was just awesome, it was such an awesome fun time.  plus who cares if there are big lift lines?  just hike the park.

at this time of year at a basin, you gotta just fuck getting a lift ticket and just hike up to the park and just sesh there for the day. no point paying 30 something bucks to get in a small park you can hike up to
 
yaa, i stood in 1.5 minute lines today, skied 930-3, just making laps, hiked the rails a few times. it was pretty much fucking awesome. soo go if you can, its totally worth
