A Basin opens Friday!

Snowmass doesnt open for a month
 
western ny still has about a month and a half until resorts even think about making snow. it was 70 today and 80 yesterday. you people who live in colorado have no idea how lucky you are.
 
Driving from COS to A-Basin friday morning if anyone wants a ride! I'll even stop in Denver.

I'm not running a fucking charity though, gas money is appreciated.

Last year's opening day was during the weekend and got fairly crowded towards 11 AM or so. Get there early and speed through as many laps as possible before the line builds and then just hike their early season park if that's your gig. I am thinking a may be SLIGHTLY less crowded tomorrow but considering it is still a Friday, the line for the Black Mountain Express will get heavy!

None of that matters though, just enjoy standing on snow and skis and have fun! Woot!

the crowds are half the fun!

Know this- the park will be too crowded to actually try to ski, and the line will be so long you could hike up the mountain faster than waiting in line and riding the lift

and that's the glory of opening day/opening weekend....can't wait
 
ill be around all day tomorrow.. mostly dorking on the runs to nurse an injury (but mostly push my jitters another day ;) )
