not at this point, remember when new hampshire lost power for like 5 days?

people were buying generators for $500 at Home Depot and driving 2 hours to New Hampshire and selling them on the street for $2500.

Did you know the reason for such rapid spread of aids in Africa is due to the fact that they honestly think if they fuck young boys it would cure them of aids? No joke! hahahaha

I got a book you gotta check out. It's called "One Man's Wilderness, An Alaskan Odyssey".

The book is the journal of a guy who built a cabin in the wilderness of Alaska. He brought with him tool heads and made his own handles on site, used logs from the area, built a fireplace with rocks from the area, etc, etc... The only outside supplies were cement for the fireplace, and tar for the roof. He COULD have succeeded without them, but he wasn't trying to prove anything to anyone and it made a world of difference for what he wanted.

Really good book, and I know that it really made me think about modern society and what we think we "NEED".

Heck yes. I'm pretty sure a documentary had been made on that guy and aired on PBS. If that stuff interests you too, you might also like the writings of Eric Sloane. Two of his books I really like are "Seasons of American Past" and "Diary of an Early American Boy"
