96mm ski waist

I have owned 90mm waisted CT1.0s which fell apart so now after couple of days researching i found the arv96 for a great price but everybody is telling me that it is a bit too wide for park when i would like to learn first 270s into streetrails and switchups and that i should size down to the arv86. I ski 95% just park. Any opinions???

Current park ski is the ARV96, got them after my AR7s snapped (87mm underfoot iirc) much prefer the flex and the wider more stable platform for landings. Pick em up. Mount em centre and enjoy! Can’t wait to test mine outside the park/on spring slush days

It was meant more kinda if the wider 96mm waist wont be slowing down my learning of spin tricks on rails

Most park skis/skis in general have construction techniques to reduce the weight in the tips and tails of the ski which will reduce their swing weight to make spinning easier even on wider skis. The ARV 96 is a bit stiffer making it more stable and it’s width is more versatile in the park and all mountain. The swing weight difference is very little from the ARV86 but the ARV96 is more solid feeling.

naw. honestly most park skiers are using 90s waisted skis these days. only park thing i'd desire skinnier skis for is pipe really. you are more than fine on 96s on rails! for sure. 90s waisted skis are definitely not getting into the realm of heavy and sluggish to snap around on rails. 80s waisted skis (which is as skinny as you'll find park skis nowadays) will be marginally lighter and snappier of course but don't waste a second worrying about your 96s dog those are a great ski for the job

Surface outsider looks mad fun in the park and that's 120 (think it's the outsider)

Outsider is 112, used to be 109. the Balance is 120 and full rocker, I wouldn't take it on rails to try and keep the underfoot edges nice so you can like, turn.

outsiders are mad fun in the park though, you're right about that.
