not really....ive been here since the beginning, you can scroll back and see if you want. i think that's probably the main problem...most people are too scared to say that the islamist ideology is the problem (note: different to islam the religion). i dont have a problem with putting it out there in the open, but as i said every time someone suggests that the US government committed the terrorist acts of 9/11 they are giving power to the islamists. newsflash: the islamists hate us. they hate the fact that we can vote. they hate the fact that we can charge interest on loans or that women in our society can work, drive, vote and walk around without a hood over their heads. why would you defend these people? i'd much rather support the coalition in bringing down the islamist ideology one country at a time. have a look at iraq. its now a functional democracy. they've had a few very successful elections and tens of thousands of lives have been saved since saddam was kicked out. that's a success story. afghanistan will fall soon and from that point onwards it becomes easier and easier. but only if the troops on the ground have our support. i dont know about you but i want to curtail the spread of islamism as much as possible. i like seeing my girlfriend's face rather than a black hood, and i like being able to criticise my government.

Also explosions dont burn, the put out pressure waves. Incendiaries burn, and when the buildings go there are no flames. and if the incendiaries went when the planes crashed, they would not burn long enough to cause structural failure. besides, who ever heard of demolition with incendiaries? Do you get angry when Hindus worship cows? Than why would Muslims get mad at us for living the way we like? By the way muslim is the term for a follower of the religion of islam, not islamist. Also the koran, the muslim version of the bible basically, actually preaches peace. Muslim extremists like to ignore that part just like priests ignore the part about not molesting little boys. Not to mention freedom of religion was kinda one of the founding principals of our country

I agree. There are thousands of conspiracies like this, but the one thing that all of them are lacking is proof. Also, one thing that makes it impossible for it to be a conspiracy is how many people would have to keep quiet about it. There would have to be hundreds to thousands of people who would know and have proof about this conspiracy. It is impossible that not one of those people would have talked.

demolition is Always done from the bottom because higher up explosions would be less likely to collapse the entire building. noone thought the trade center would fall until the melting beams in the side of the impact caused the top of building to lean in that direction putting more pressure on the weakest part of the structure. you can see it in your picture.

People seem to be realizing that they cant believe everything they read, which is good. They then believe the next thing they read that disagrees with the first, which is bad

DId you know in the quaram that killing one person is the equivalent of killing 1 million people. You know the whole "jihad" thing? how its muslims swearing death to america. Its not some sign of disrespect toward women, its not putting them down, its a part of their culutre and religion.

Luckily for me canada is multi cultural and i have muslims in some of my classes who openly choose (even though they live in canada) to wear those.

Lastly, women are held in the highest regard in the quaram. Mothers are suposed to be worshipped in the muslim religion. You never suposed to be disrespectful to your mother or a mother in their religion.

Oh well, fox news told me differently so i guess that muslims are evil evil people.

no, "islamist" is a term for those who preach a muslim ideology, rather than religion. im sure the religion itself is peaceful at heart, but the islamists are the ones who want to turn the world into a global islamic state with sharia law as the basis for all relationships, education and governance. they subscribe to more than the koran, which in itself does preach hate....its just how you interpret it. you're wrong about the bible though....it doesn't preach hate. its a story of evolution (not the creationism type, i mean it in its true sense). the old testament refers to the way the world used to operate and the new testament tells the story of Jesus who came along and was a role model for us all to follow. None of his teachings are hateful. whereas the koran constantly refers to the struggle against the non believer, most specifically the jew. its the only religion on earth whose key goal is to take over all others.
freedom of religion is one thing. spreading hate is quite another.

Some shootings, white supremacy groups, rouge individual murders and bombers should not be, in any way, comparable to what is out there with Islamic terrorism. Of course not all those who are of Islamic faith are terrorists, but when you have even a low percentage of over a billion people, then you're still dealing with a large number of people. The difference between that and the silly shit you just said is that there is a common ideology with that (save for small discrepancies).
There hasn't been as much done here in North America that was successful. 9/11, the '93 bombing of the WTC, and the Lockerbie bombing (yea, that happened over Scotland, but a majority of the passengers were Americans). When you start looking at what is happening, and has been ongoing for quite some time, in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, South Asia... it is so fucking obvious that it is endemic of something greater than just a few radicals.

1. there's countless resources from over the years showing how oppressed women are. it amazes me that you do not know this... actually no it doesn't.

2. we invaded iraq under the false pretenses that saddam had WMDs. i have no idea where you learn your information, but 9-11 was NEVER a reason for invading iraq by our government, or by anyone who hadn't been living under a rock for the past couple years.

FYI the IRA gave up acts of terrorism about 10 years ago. their bombings were, i agree, shocking and deplorable. having said that they always provided warnings beforehand so that innocent civilians could stay clear, but i dont think thats any justification. the point is that the IRA evolved and gained respect. just like the christians did after the crusades, its no longer about being in the 'right' religion. its about basic humanity. its why all other religions in the world get along now. they've grown up and are getting on with their lives. except one....

the intelligence at the time suggested that saddam was developing WMDs. there were several shipments out of iraq 48 hours before the US troops arrived. we'll never know what was in those trucks.
but we can be a little bit more mature about this. there is nothing illegitimate about invading a country to improve the lives of its citizens. how many tens of thousands of people were dying each year under saddam? now its a functional democracy with its own police force and army which is rapidly expanding.
 
i hate to be picky here cause i agree with you 100% and the other dude is just giving LINE and Canada a bad name, but the reason we invaded Iraq was this: Iraq was thought to be harboring terrorist, and Iraq was thought to have a large WMD program, and we didnt want the two to start mixing and interacting with each other.

THe other dude is mixing obvious truths, with some very general, and stereyotypical hate towards america. the odds are 2:1 that he is under 15 and just was taught a unit on the last decades war. if he is over 18, then he has no right to critcize the american school system as his has taught him very little of history, and academic debate.
