As the thread title implies, we're getting ready for this years Get Outta Bed and Shred at UNH. This has been a very popular event for 6 years now, going on 7. We're currently still in the process of looking for vendors and companies who would like to have a booth at the event. If you're a vendor and you're interested in having a booth, I have pasted the letter we've been sending around below which has some more details and contact information. If you aren't a vendor but you're in the UNH area, mark your calenders for October 30th, this should be a good one.
This year is the seventh annual Get
Outta Bed and Shred ski and snowboard exposition. This event is designed to
motivate skiers and snowboarders in New England, specifically UNH students to
the numerous opportunities that are available to them within the region. Our
primary goal is to educate and promote skiing and snowboarding as a leisure
pursuit.
We are planning on having at least
40 vendors and even more sponsors for our raffle to support the non-profit, Northeast
Passage. The Northeast Passage is located at the University of New Hampshire
and their mission is to create an environment where individuals with
disabilities can enjoy recreation with the same freedom of choice, quality of
life, and independence as their non- disabled peers. The money raised will go
towards their adaptive skiing program.
The event will include the expo,
raffle, videos, a live DJ and more! Making the event even better, is that it is
free for the public and booth space for vendors is free! We only ask for at
least one item donated for our charity raffle.
The event will take place on Tuesday
October 30th, 2012 from 4:30pm to 7:30pm, and the University of New
Hampshire, in the Memorial Union Building’s Granite State room.
We would love for you to join us in
this event that reaches out to both to the UNH campus and other members in the
New England region. While promoting your business you will also be helping
support a local organization. Please let me know if this is something you would
be interested in attending no later than October 15th. I look
forward to hearing from you, if there are further questions, comments or
concerns please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Ben Cayes
