70d spec list finally revealed

Spec-wise it seems pretty meh to me, 7fps is the only real improvement I'm seeing, even then it's only ~1.5 faster than the 60d, .5 over the 50d, and thats only going to be an improvement if the buffers big enough to shoot for a while. Wifi would be pretty sweet, but again, that alone doesn't do much for me.

Unless there's something impressive about the performance/features, I'm not impressed.

Although I'm curious what this dual pixel autofocus is/ how it performs. Google didn't show up much

I assume they mean the hybrid phase detect pixels on the sensor (like on the EOS M, 700D). At least in those camera's it doesn't work.

Great news about the new sensor!

I don't understand how it's been so long since both the 60D and 7D have been released. It's been 3 years since the 60D came out and 4 years since the 7D was released. They used to upgrade the xxD line every 1.5 years more or less, now it's double that. The whole prosumer market was pretty much ignored for the last couple years. I'm interested to see what it'll cost. Probably way too much.

No improvements? LOL Magnus your so silly. A new sensor digic and digic 5+ is huge, and 19 cross type points is legit, the 60d was 9 or 10...

Yeah I missed the sensor at first, was gonna comment again but figured I post too much.

Sure the digic 5+ may be more powerful, but having not seen statistically what it can do I don't comment on that.

As for the af points, I hold the same stance, personally I don't have the need for a bunch, I can get by on 9, never found it a problem.

I was expecting to see a new lens option on a 60d with a different option weel... im looking at you t5i.

Great to see this finally being released. I was lucky and was able to test this out a few weeks ago, and is a huge step up in the xxD line. Definitely a contender in the consumer market.

Cool, but this should have came out a year ago.

also, the D7100 kicks this in the face. it better be affordable, because it's basically like a 7D with a nicer sensor and no weather sealing.

If they built it as bad as the 60D was, as well.. then it's stupid. Go back to how you built the 10D-50D. Those were all built solid as hell.
