"War has wiped out about 655,000 Iraqis or more than 500 people a day since the U.S.-led invasion, a new study reports.

Violence including gunfire and bombs caused the majority of deaths but thousands of people died from worsening health and environmental conditions directly related to the conflict that began in 2003, U.S. and Iraqi public health researchers said."

CNN is reporting on it. They didn't just make up the figure, genius. I'm sure you'd rather news organizations just not tell you things that upset you so that you can live in blissful ignorance, but hey, some people differ.

It's simply awful. There's no reason to be at war, anybody who doesn't think the war should end is a horrible person. Not trying to label but seriously how could you possibly want it to go on?
 
you know they could say the same about us because (in theory) we have killed 655,000 of them in less than 4 years. the world doesn't work with opinions like that. u can't just say "oh well fuck it we should just kill them instead of trying to solve the problem"
 
The American people should stand up for peace.

The pro-war people should get out of their job and join the army to die in Iraq. Everyone that denies all of the thing are way beyond stupid. Even though it doesnt show the horrors of war. it still implies through 24/7 newscasting that war is the norm

why do you think hitler banned "gone with the wind" in nazi germany. He didnt want the population to be aware of the horrors of war until they were in the middle of it.

people can say whatever they want. yes it's a terrible thing that all these people have died iraqi, afghani, british, american and canadian. did you people think there would be no casualties? people join the military of their respective countries to be prepared to defend their country and provide assistance when needed in foreign countries.

so bush went into afghanistan, why? because that coutry's regime at the time was allowing the terrorists that were responsible for the 9/11 attacks on the world trade center. bush went into iraq, why? ok that one's a little hazy. some say there were WMD there but ultimately that could not be confirmed. in my opinion, saddam had it coming! he kept pushing and pushing and wasn't going to stop. george bush sr. couldn't get the job done, bill clinton couldn't get it done so dubya finished it. let's remember iraq was not some innocent country in all this. go back to march 16, 1988 when saddam killed over 5,000 people using chemical agents and continued the persecution of kurdish people for years.

for all of you anti-bush/anti-war assholes, remember this, the mission of islamic terrorists is to destroy the western way of life. so if you enjoy the way you live and want to keep it that i way, i would recomend shutting the fuck up!!

As far as that figure and Bush's 30,000 figure I'd day Bush was stating the statistic for Iraqi casualties directly caused by American troops and bombs since the invasion.

The 655,000 figure, which I doubt is even accurate, is related to the whole spectrum of death. It is not our fault that the fools continue to blow eachother to bits like they have always done over their petty differences. We are trying to do everything in our power to help them. I disagree with the war but only because I don't think the Iraqis even deserve to have the United States provide them any help whatsoever. The fools are spineless, they blow up women with hidden car bombs and hack off heads on video with masks on.

George Bush is absolutely right, they DO tolerate brutal violence, oppression, and genocide. If they did not tolerate it, we would have never had to invade to begin with. The Iraqis and Muslims in general need to get their fucking act together and stop fucking around. All the major acts of violence in the world in our time are being caused directly by the Muslims, whether its in New York, London, Madrid, Israel, Lebanon, Iraq, Darfur, Afghanistan, Pakistan, or Indonesia. They are incapable of living in harmony with any other group besides their own and even within their own group they can't stop blowing eachother up because of minor idealogical differences.

Its a culture that must be destroyed.

A majority of that number is militants that we are targeting, there is some colateral damage but all 655,000 people are innocent civilians
