Just a comparable number to show how much damage has been done. Guess they wanted to spice things up instead of saying sentenced to "life" in prison.
 
they do that a lot to people like him. they add up all the shit theyve done and its just rediculous. but it would be cool if you got cryogenically frozen in prison and came back to life as a free man in a future world.
 
Except that Guatemalan law states that the most time a convict can serve is 50 years. So he'll do 50 years.

Also, when I read this story I decided to do some background googling, and it looks like the US backed the Guatemalan government during that time. America, fuck yeah.
 
im just saying that saying he must serve the rest of his life in prison would have proved the same point. saying he must serve 6060 years just sounds dumb.
 
Would you have made a thread about some ex Guatemalan special forces solider who had been sentenced to life in prison?
 
this made me lol, so im guessing he really deserves 60 years, but because of whatever reason they just tagged on 6000 years.
 
if you read past the first paragraph you would understand that in some countries there are maximum amounts of years that people can be sentenced to. Especially in South America, usually it's 25-30
 
they kinda already made a movie like that it was about the zodiac leader in california getting unfrozen, then the guy in rocky (pretty sure it was him) and they kinda fought it out for awhile in future california.
 
It's 50 years in the country where he was sentenced (Guatemala).

But he's 55. Anything over ~30 years is life.
